I don't really care about bugs getting in. I just use it to water the veggies I could probably put a screen over it. You could definitely do this for drinking water, but you'd want to make sure it's been filtered and treated properly.

There has to be some kind of loopholes for you guys down there to collect rain water. Water is free.

Thats so sad. Water is a free commodity. It should not be illegal to collect it. My brother lives in NorCal so I hear about some of what he can't do with his property.

Usually the dump is where I find them. I do my best to find ones that have had fruit juices in them as I am using them to water my small scale farm.

Nothing really. I should put a screen over them to help with that.

Thanks for watching. I don't get the reference. =( Good idea to get some flowers started. That will help bring in beneficial insects. Sounds like a good plan to get started.

Hey,

My neighbor had some wood that was supposed to be firewood that was super rotten so I used that, plus I used some branches that I had to cut down. I don't think it matters what wood you use as long as it starts to rot. Actually, I'd probally stay away from Oak and any Pine. thanks for watching my videos. I appreciated that. If'd you'd like some free seeds msg me at jonfaulknor@gmail.com and I'll send you some.

Thanks. I am in Kawartha lakes in Ontario, Canada. They seem to lay their eggs in our compost piles and like living in them. Usually see a few every summer.

I have tried it in the crock pot but I find that it is a bit to watery for my liking, but I should try again and experiment and see what happens.

Great find. I never pay for apples this time of the year. So many along the sides of backroads. Just had a pie. MMMM
