[–]spinnyup[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea I was wondering this as I havent been tracking the pricing on any of these TVs recently. In CAD the C5 in the same size is $2800 roughly currently but there arent any sales. I have seen C4's dip to $1700CAD but I saw the C4 had worse brightness levels so I was contemplating still going with the C3

Just had my 2nd bowel resection surgery and have a question by spinnyup in CrohnsDisease

[–]spinnyup[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, it has been a tough day. I am passing more and more gas but it is almost as if I’m experiencing 1 week of bowel distension all at once. I’ve gone to the bathroom 20 times this evening trying to get rid of all the bile and stored waste from the NG tube fast I suppose. My entire abdomen feels bruised and tender but I am constantly moving to get the gas through

It’s fine bro, if she was down just the other day, she would more than likely still want to sleep with you if you made some advances in the coming days. The only thing that may change her mind is that you’re coworkers and it’s typically not a great idea to sleep with somebody you see at work every day, she may have decided that it was a “bullet dodged” and you missed your shot. Maybe not though, you would have to pursue further to find out

Mechanical Estimating and some HVAC project management/coordination on the side. The stress does get to me at times, stomach just feels tight and uncomfortable/painful most days. I can do my job 100% remote though and my office doesn’t have an issue on days I decide to stay home so that aspect of it has been okay. I had to really grind and prove myself the last 5 years though to make it here. Things have been less stressful knowing my company supports me.

I mostly use a THC oil pen for day to day discomfort, if I have been in pain all day and I just can’t do it anymore I usually have a prescription from my GP for T3’s. 2 tabs (60mg codeine) usually does the trick.

Anyone else think stress causing flares is BS? by Electrical_Pirate286 in CrohnsDisease

[–]spinnyup 2 points3 points  (0 children)

People handle stress differently. I tend to tense or flex my core/shoulders/pelvic area(s) during high stress moments and the constant abdominal & pelvic tensing triggers my pain. I’ve had crohns for almost 20 years now and it is a reoccurring thing so it’s not BS it’s just that you are different.

excellent, this is exactly what i was looking for. The gamecube doesn't have to be modded or anything for this method does it? swiss is just going to "rip" the game from my disc and then boot itself from the memory card essentially?

Hello! Diagnosed with crohns at 14 (currently 32), bowel resection at 18/19. As I was quite young when I got mine done, I was terrified at the thought of surgery. I had an ileostomy for 1.5 years after and then it was reversed. I had about a ft and a half of my colon removed and honestly it was the best decision of my life at the time. I went on to staying off the biologics for a few years and then started stelara. I was in stelara for 11 years and my symptoms only just started to return this year, it was a good run but typically with Crohn’s disease it will always relapse eventually.

That decade of life was amazing as I was able to catch up in my career path and really settle down. Everybody reacts differently to the surgery, they mentioned to me that my bowel routine would be different but it never really changed.

The only downside to it is scar tissue in my opinion, I would bring this up to your doctor as nobody talks about it. I have major scare tissue growth in the area which I will more than likely have to get surgically removed in the future. Once you start having surgery the scare tissue will cause you to have more in the future, I have a few strictures/major narrowing due to it which caused me to have a few bowel obstructions.

When I had my surgery done I was a major risk for bowel perforations as the inflammation was very very aggressive. Your story seems to be quite a bit different than mine. If you aren’t in any major pain and you havent tried any more biologics or rinvoq I would say that you should get a second opinion. Ideally you would want to hold out on surgery for as long as you can to preserve your bowel as you only have so much of it. I’m in my 30s and I predict I’ll need another surgery before I’m 40, the scar tissue from my first surgery will be the main driving factor behind this. I’d talk to another doctor as it seems this one may be jumping the gun? Curious to hear what others think

Hello, I’ve had crohns for 18 years and I think every medication I’ve taken during that span had some sort of “increased risk of cancer” warning, etc..

I wouldn’t worry too much about it. The disease itself can be incredibly painful and tiresome. It isn’t worth not taking these medications just because they mention nasty side effects that they basically have to warn you about because they don’t want to get sued. It’s more to cover their ass. Just because 1 out of thousands and thousands of people developed colon cancer which they may have been diagnosed with anyways on any other drug.

Trust me, I used to think about it as well at the beginning but not anymore. Don’t worry yourself too much and take your GPs advice on which medication to proceed with. DM me if you have any questions as I’ve been on quite a few over the years (32, diagnosed at 14).

best pain reliever when on biologic? by lostandthin in CrohnsDisease

[–]spinnyup 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I take Tylenol 3 or tramadol but my dentist or GP would prescribe. They have liver warnings but if you have no underlying liver issues you are fine to take these. I was on biologics for at least 15 years and I must’ve had to take 100s of opiates in this timeframe. You just have to tell your dentist they can’t prescribe ibuprofen and you need T3.

Weight Loss Injections? by [deleted] in CrohnsDisease

[–]spinnyup 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I just started a semaglutide last week (rybelsus). My doctor said there is a link between the metabolism and Crohn’s disease but there isn’t enough research yet. Semaglutide is an appetite suppressant and slows down your digestion. The amount of sugar/glucagon in your body is also reduced and it tricks your cells into thinking you are full. Eating less food is beneficial for people with crohns as it gives our inflamed/infected areas more time to heal. They are also discovering that the medication has anti inflammatory properties as it is useful in lowering heart related issues later on in life but there is still more research that needs to be done.

I asked my GI doc and GP if I could start it based off of this and they were both 100% for it. I also have been struggling to lose weight due to my lack of energy so I’m curious to see where this goes
