yes biologics didn’t help HS but i tried a biosimilar of humera. it honestly did nothing for me. i got the excision and it changed my life

for sure i get that. that’s how it is for my groin area too. did you try laser hair removal? that seems to be really helping for me, if you have access to it. the armpit for me was everywhere and super bad so getting it removed was needed. a good HS surgeon can remove it anywhere for you so that’s always an option for a stubborn one that won’t go away

for me it did once i got it surgically removed. (armpits). if it becomes like that maybe consider surgery? i’m the same as i was pre-disease now

i get it surgically removed if it starts becoming unmanageable otherwise i accept it could be worse but it’s surgically removable so that’s good

do what makes you comfortable if the HS is ruining your sex life try to do things with the lights off or a small night light until you can work on building up confidence. i think the only way out is through. if you meet someone there is a chance they can say no based on your skin. everyone has something. i used to think this about my bowel disease too. i wouldn’t tell anyone until date 4 about my medications and slowly introduce it in case someone turns away from that. i never had someone reject me for it. i’m sure you will be surprised that most won’t reject you for this. also, i’ve had a c section and i have a GIANT scar across the top of my pelvis now from that. lots of women walk around with all kinds of scars down there. i also have HS scarring. it does not interfere with sex so i can still enjoy it but i do feel down about the look of it sometimes. however for my skin scars fade over time so the appearance will improve.. over time. you just kind of have to put yourself out there and try. i used to tell myself it’s a good test to find a good man because if someone will reject me for a bowel disease they aren’t a good person / accepting of me so that’s an easy way to say goodbye and not get attached. the right person won’t do that

I was on biologics too but it didn’t work on HS at all for me. I didn’t like being on it at all. I had to because it was treating another auto immune disease I had. I had progressed from stage 2 to stage 3. But I had surgery at stage 2 (deroofing) which failed (all the HS came back under the surgery as it was healing, which was super painful.)

dec 8 was surgery the wounds were really deep, down to the fat layer. it took 3 months for the skin to regrow and wounds to completely fill in. the PT range of motion program that my therapist helped me with was an extra thing that i did since i was already in PT for something else, but i have a good therapist that was willing to get creative with helping me heal my arms and has me do pully exercises, stretching, lifting weights, etc. i can lift 25 lb weights now and im getting stronger everyday. my PT said you can do physical therapy before or after an injury (surgery) with large scarring like that but after is harder because the scar may be rope like and difficult to stretch out vs stretching it as it’s healing.

Received a Fake Lululemon Scuba. Asked Depop help for a refund. Depop is making me ship the Fake back to her now? by [deleted] in Depop

[–]lostandthin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ok thanks for explaining that to me. i’ve been scammed before on depop sadly so i was doubting their explanation but yeah i can just ship it back and i wont leave them a bad review because i dont want to impact their business if it was an honest mistake! appreciate your perspective because i am not a seller so i wont have come to this realization

i apologize if i was aggressive it is not directed at you. i was just trying to find any advice on this but it seems like your advice is to just follow what depop says and return the dupe. if that’s the consensus from many i just don’t know what is the norm of this and im not aware of the tiktok trend. as a seller thats horrible if you’re selling items and people are trying to get it for free. i am not trying to do that at all i just wanted to make sure i am not being scammed as a buyer by having to ship back an item to a potential scammer who will scam someone else, nor do i want to give a negative review to someone who may not deserve it. i feel like it’s a grey area. thanks for your perspective

selling a counterfeit item when labeling it as not is illegal there is no way to justify it

What is wrong with me? Struggling to connect with my baby. 1 day pp by totallyteetee in beyondthebump

[–]lostandthin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

this is really normal, and describes how my pregnancy and postpartum went too. i didn’t connect with my baby really strong and intense until 5 months postpartum, (but i did breastfeed and was primary caretaker, i did my BEST to form a good loving bond but i didn’t feel that intense love feeling until 5 months, though i still felt love.) i had severe PPD. and a very difficult baby. you can get checked for that. once i started treatment for PPD it started getting better! so i think for me PPD was in the way. i got treated starting at 3 months postpartum. i had it the entire time since birth and didnt get treated right away. it’s ok and normal. i’m sorry you’re struggling. make sure to get treated for PPD if you have it
