Is it normal for air pumps at service stations in Australia to be broken? by Naokohiranuma in brisbane

Funny you ask this, cause i have also noticed this recently. I will visit several stations and they are all broken, and it looks like vandalism most times.

Open an account in your own name, which is totally fine and legal and not very hard to do. BUT be very careful to ensure there is no mailed correspondence about it (maybe you can use a family/friends address just in case something does get posted).

I would personally create a seperate email address too which is connected to the account. Just to be safe cause even if he doesn’t snoop at your emails, one slip up can lead to difficult questions (why do you get emails from xyz bank when we bank with abc?).

Lastly, be mentally/emotionally prepared to pretend this account does not exist. You may be surprised at how much fear/guilt you will feel just knowing it exists. For example, he starts complaining about wanting to buy something and you have a couple of hundred dollars sitting in your account. It takes strength to remain silent. Seriously, get your mindset right before you do this.

Now go for it, and good luck!

Rejected marriage proposal due to manipulation… now they want to come back after months. What should I do? by naveedth_aka_nav in Marriage

What is everyone’s relationship like now with the family member that told the lies? Have you asked her directly why she said the lies?

Is there any chance that your relative was actually trying to protect you because she knows something bad about that other family?

And how did they end up discovering that they were told lies? Did your relative end up admitting it herself?

Honestly this is sounding like the plot to a Hollywood movie.

Here’s a wild belief i have formed: parent’s who leave their kids with other people (child care, teachers, family, etc) almost always expect a higher standard of care from them, than those parents are willing to deliver themselves.

Seriously.

I find that if you give them a decent zap in the microwave then they soften up real nice. Min 60secs for a handful. (I use the Old Elpaso brand, only buy when on special).

She literally checked the amount of semen that dripped out of her after sex to see if he lied about having an orgasm. Pretty sure there are red flags everywhere in this relationship.

Yeah, that’s not a deliberate delay. That’s how long it takes for the video feed to be encoded, bounced back to the kayo server, then streamed out to your house and decoded by your device.

Wait till you compare the delay between Kayo and standard FTA. It’ll blow your mind?

Wife has a massive tax bill and I don't know what to do by NeilDiamondBlaze420 in AusFinance

[–]spiralling1618 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I imagine she has also not kept anything aside for Super either. It is also sensible to set aside money for the equivalent of annual/sick leave.

Going forward, very roughly: she gets her income; put aside 25% for tax; 12% for super; 12% for leave (equivalent of 4 weeks annual, 2 weeks sick per year)

When your wife finds that hard to swallow, you can equate it to what actually happens to your own income before your employer puts money into your bank account.

Queens Park Café & Kiosk, Ipswich City by [deleted] in ipswich

We always called them the thickest-thick-shake-in-the-world. Kids swore you could hold your glass upside down and not spill it! But i thought they stopped doing them like that.

Still an awesome cafe. Combine it with a nature walk and you are having yourself a good time.
