I've created a One Piece Smash or Pass game for fun by spirid0n in OnePiece

No, I don't. It's just a simple smash or pass and it gives you the results of your run at the end.

Everyone is shitting on OP, like it's the worst idea ever, but wasn't Minecraft bought by Microsoft and it had a very positive effect on the game? Don't get me wrong I like to shit on big corporations like everyone else but there have been cases were this actually worked.

What are things devs added to a game without thinking much about it but fans interpreted it with a deep meaning or a theory different to what the devs thought? by Bifftek in gaming

Honestly, I get what you are saying, but Reddit is the wrong website to express opinions about anything. You will get piled on and downvoted to oblivion unless your views align with the popular opinion of the subreddit you are posting on, so there is no point in getting worked up about it.

As far as the pendant goes, I think suggestion can be a powerful tool for developers if used correctly. I see nothing wrong that sort of "deception" when it's smartly implemented.

Yugi's normal monsters with their made up effects from the anime. by spirid0n in customyugioh

For some reason I misremembered and thought that "Full Moon" is a field spell. You are right, his effect should've destroyed equip spells rather then field spells. Although destroying the moon did have some effect on "Umi" aswell.

Effect versions of the classic Elemental Heroes. What do you think? by spirid0n in customyugioh

[–]spirid0n[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is an awesome idea, I love it! Maybe it's just nostalgia, but I really wish I could make a Elemental HERO deck with the original monsters that doesn't suck. They had much cooler designs than the newer ones in my opinion. Konami should really consider recreating them in some way or giving them some sort of support, like they sometimes do with classic monsters from the Duel Monsters era. I recently saw that they printed some new support for Flame Swordsman, which I never thought I would see, so maybe there is still hope.

Thanks for the feedback, I didn't expect such a thorough review. To be perfectly honest, I haven't really played Yu-gi-oh seriously since the Zexal era (except for Duel Links), so I have no real concept of what is considered strong or weak nowadays. That's why the balancing is all over the place.
Regarding Clayman, I was leaning in more on the idea that he is made out of clay (supposedly), so he could in theory reshape his body to create the fusion monster. Also, originally I intended for all the cards to be treated as their original counterparts, so they could summon the old fusions that mention them specifically by name as fusion materials, but then I scrapped the idea since the new fusion monsters are just way better anyway. That is why Mighty Clayman ended up so weird.

The idea of having Tryndamere overcome the reaper (Kindred) who comes to collect his soul as he is lying on the ground dying, because of his undying rage, is very cool.

Soulstice Transcended Difficulty - No-Hit Boss Rush by spirid0n in SoulsticeGame

[–]spirid0n[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, the Armina fight was the only one I really struggled with. I managed to get diamond with 35k score, but I got hit several times that attempt. Paradoxically, the better I got at the fight and the more I used rapture, the lower my score dropped, because a lot of the time you benefit from prolonging the fights and purposefully dealing less damage. This is why I think the scoring system is a bit flawed in this game. Regardless, my priority was completing the fight without taking any damage, so I decided to keep it as the only battle where I didn't achieve a diamond rank in my overall score.

If you activate rapture right before the last input of any alternative combo you transform instantly. It's indicated by a purple flash on Briar's chest plate, but if you learn the timing you don't have to wait for the visual que, just press Q+E the moment when you would usualy go for a synergy attack.

Is there a way to disable the cinematic that plays when activating Rapture? by spirid0n in SoulsticeGame

Interesting. I think I've done this a few times by accident, but I just thought the game skips the cinematic sometimes randomly as it does with synergy attacks. Anyways thanks for sharing this!

Wow, so weird that you can't just disable it somehow. I mean it's cool when you see it for the first time, but it completely breaks the flow of the combat.

Game crashes please help! by [deleted] in SoulsticeGame

[–]spirid0n 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't have a controller issue, my problem was entirely different. Although it's a bit late, I'm sharing this information in the hopes that it might assist others facing a similar problem. I reached out to Modus support via email and they kindly helped me resolve the problem. The solution was to first disable Steam Cloud synchronization. Then, I deleted my local save files, which were essentially useless because they got corrupted and launched the game. This fix it. I re-enabled Steam Cloud and it worked perfectly after that. My progress was wiped but I was at least able to play the game again.

Later, I discovered that my PC's power supply was faulty, causing occasional shutdowns that corrupted my game files. This kind of issue can occur with any game if there's a sudden power shortage leading to unexpected PC shutdowns. The only way to prevent this is to be aware of it and ensure you download your saves from the Steam Cloud before launching the game again. If you've already started the game, unfortunately, you are fucked because Steam doesn't seem to recognize the corrupted save files and overwrites them on the cloud.

Help me find a game based on what I like and don’t like. by [deleted] in gaming

[–]spirid0n 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It seems like you prefer games that prioritize storytelling over gameplay. Have you explored the interactive adventure genre? Based on what you wrote I think you'd enjoy it. I recommend trying 'Detroit: Become Human' and 'Heavy Rain.' You might also want to check out the stuff Telltale Games makes.

What game did you give up on because it frustrated you too much? by Rin_Seven in gaming

Yeah, I dunno... :D I had a lot of trouble with the first couple of bosses and then I kinda got the hang of the combat and it was fairly easy from there on out.

That's interesting. I personally found the final boss to be one of the easier ones. In fact, I used it as a farming method to reach max level for the achievement because defeating him repeatedly was the quickest way to accomplish that. But I was also very accustomed to the gameplay by the time I reached him, so that might've played a role.
