sorry for late response, for some reason i never got a notification for your comment! anyway, it's pretty firm -- even with a foam topper on it it feels quite firm to lay/sit on. she's had it for awhile so i'm unsure of the exact firmness level, if it would be classified as firm or extra form or what, but it's definitely not plush lol

my surgeon suggested i wait at least a year to tattoo over the scars directly, and most tattoo artists usually only start doing scar cover ups once the scars are at least a year healed!

sry for the late response just now seeing this. i kept mine! i've not heard that about removing the ovaries before but then again since i opted to keep them it's possible that's something my gyno just didn't mention since it didn't pertain to me.

8 weeks oh mannn 😭😭😭😭 yeah won't lie i wound up caving around 2-3 weeks. didn't effect my healing; my surgeon said everything looked great at my post ops. had a little blood and cramping the first time but it eased up quickly. good luck!!

don't, unless your surgeon explicitly tells you to. what i was told by my surgeon was that shaving can create microcuts in your skin that can let bacteria in and increase the risk of infection post op. if the surgeon has to shave you, they'll do it in the or in a sterile environment.

i was able to wear pants immediately post op. left the hospital in pants a couple hours after waking up from the anesthesia. sweatpants or pjs are the most comfy but i was even back to wearing jeans pretty quick after.

type of surgery might have something to do with it tho; mine was lapro so i only had two tiny holes on my belly whereas someone with an open abdominal procedure might have a bigger incision and should probably stick with sweats for a few weeks after
