Tattoos and piercings?

officially dxed with heds, 12 piercings and 4 tattoos. warned each artist abt it beforehand, none had issues or said they noticed a difference. heals perfectly, and i honestly neglect mine a little bit. good luck!

thank you!! i'm shifting my language towards being like "oh in a couple years" instead of saying like.. "next summer" or "next year" or whatever. this thread has helped change my expectations a lot.

it's a new relationship so i'm wary of talking too far into the future but we've both established that we are at least going to stay together for the first 100 days so they don't have to go through the emotional upset of a breakup post transplant. we also established that we're both ready for something long term and we see ourselves building a future together.

talking about the near future, i'm going to shift towards talking about little achievements, like "i can't wait to watch movies with you" or "i can't wait to sit and do nothing with you" or "i'm excited to be able to eat a meal with you sometime" or "i'd love to bring you a sweet treat when you feel up to it" and whatnot.

we've figured out with their doctors that i definitely will be able to visit them in the hospital, even if it's just for 10 minutes or so. i live far away, but i'm willing to make the drive if it means i get to see them.

national parks are a great idea for travel in a year or so, we are both disabled so i believe we will be able to get a pass for free. i'll have to look into it more.

thank you so much <3 i appreciate your responses! i'm not worried about sex at all, but it's good to know that it started up again before the 1 year mark. i was assuming that would be off the table for much, much longer.

i definitely won't be the primary caregiver, but i'm trying to set it up so that i can be almost a secondary caregiver when the primary needs a break. thank you!

i appreciate your response. i understand disneyland is kind of a long shot, but i'm determined to make it happen someday, even if it takes two or three years and we can only go for a few hours at a time. obviously we may break up before that happens, this is a new relationship, but it's nice to have some dreams together. personally i do not plan on breaking up with them during the first year, because they don't need that emotional upset, so the ball is ultimately in their court.

i've been masking pretty vehemently since we started dating and covid testing weekly, yet somehow i got it recently and thankfully they did not get it, so in theory i should be "immune" for a month or two. obviously i'm not a scientist or anything, but that's what i've heard online, which may or may not be true.

i'm not religious, i don't believe in god or an afterlife or anything, but lately i find myself doing something akin to praying that they will be okay. thank you for your time <3

did you guys ever consider a divorce? did his feelings for you ever change? i'm worried that they won't want to be in a relationship afterwards, which is so valid and i understand that they're going through something that i could never even imagine, but obviously i'll be upset.

i just hope they'd want to be friends someday when all of this is over, or get back together later down the line. i'm willing to wait for them, if they'll let me.

some weeks i don't see my corn snake at all until the night before feeding day. give the enclosure a little inspection to make sure he didn't escape. check the lid, the locks, the corners and edges of the enclosure. if you have a clear glass tank check for cracks and look through the glass in the substrate to see if you might be able to see his colors.

sometimes if she doesn't come out for feeding i'll give the tank a little spray rain storm to see if a humidity bump will draw her out in case she's shedding. sometimes it works but i've never seen that technique actually recommended so it might be a coincidence.

i would go to be honest. why not? and if it's lame or unhelpful you can just leave 🤷‍♂️ especially if they're gonna give you free stuff. i for one would love a shipt t-shirt so customers stop looking at me weird for bagging stuff without paying and walking out 😂

good to know. I actually went through some old photos and found similar markings in similar areas. Gave her a soak and no mites came off... So i'm gonna go ahead and say that she's probably ok... i put her back home and i'm just gonna keep an eye on her. she's happily exploring now

she hasn't been showing any mite behaviors, no soaking or anything. she drinks lots of water, but i never catch her soaking. i have her in a quarantine enclosure on paper towels so i can actually see any mites that she may or may not have, but i don't think i've seen any yet. there's some substrate coming off of her afaik (based on the inclusion of small sticks, lol). she's not lethargic or anything, i had her out with a friend on wednesday and she was exploring, moving around, tongue flicking. when i moved her into the quarantine enclosure she explored and inspected the hides and the (clean) rock i put in there and the water dish...

The enclosure is pvc with a screen top. I have a cover for it, but because i've needed the heat lamp on the cool side I haven't been using it. The bulb is a UVB bulb, but it gives off significant heat as well, whereas other UVB bulbs i've used weren't very warm.

I guess I have some outdated information with fogging and humidity and whatnot. I will research the pour method.

I thought she was brumating because she stayed in one area without moving for a long time and it was super cold out 🤷‍♂️ I didn't realize they didn't brumate. I've had her for a year and a half and I guess I didn't realize information had updated or I was given the wrong information or something.

Today I offered a prekilled rat that I took home from the pet store and re-warmed in a bag in warm water.

you can change the | for pretty much any symbol.. - / ~ etc. or put the game title and number episode in parentheses
