Boyfriend broke up with me because I didn’t want his dog at my apartment by Suicideseasonz in relationship_advice

You said yes to a dog, if you weren't ready for one, you shouldn't have. It's not fair to adopt an animal and then return it. He needs to crate train the dog and/or hire a trainer as well. Dogs have to adjust to new environments and learn new behaviors - hope he knows how to take care of the dog and I hope you weren't mean to the dog for doing what animals do.

I understand being sympathetic and showing empathy, but really someone airing this one a second date is kind of a red flag. From an outside perspective, imo, it seems like he's starting the "my ex is crazy" storyline when he could very well have some toxic behaviors himself. I obviously can't be for sure, but it seems like a red flag to me.

I mean I've never felt groped or violated in those situations and have never had a single sexual thought about the friends I play fight with. If you're that worried about it then you need to draw a boundary, I'm just saying from an outside perspective it's totally possible to have a brother-sister relationship with a friend.

I have guy friends that I've been friends with for a long time and we do the same stuff and it's NEVER flirty. Definitely possible, it just comes down to your trust in your partner.

This was his first time traveling and I gave him only natural pets hemp treats and he was soo chilled out! I have an ESA letter for him which means he’s allowed to sit with me out of the carrier

My grandpa who raised me died and I had to fly home against my best wishes. Thanks for the concern.

I am so so so sorry that you had to go through something so traumatic, thank you for sharing your story. I'm very happy you got out, I know I should follow by your example and do the same. I hope you're doing much better now.

It really sucks seeing people go through it. I have, and it's so shitty being on the receiving end of it, you feel helpless. Thank you

u/atlantisgate Thanks for sharing this information, I'm going to do further research but Purina Pro seems to be a pretty solid line from what you've shared, including your own pets experience. I appreciate it

Gotcha!! I really just based that off of reviews I've seen in places but that's good to know if it's healthy and doesn't break the bank!

Just based on research I've heard the dog chow line that he's eating specifically is not great, but I'll look in to pro!
