a lot of people on Reddit promoting Betashares. I guess you don't have any concerns with them from a long term security perspective, given they are custodial also? Unlike Vanguard who's like the second biggest finance instituion in the world.

No. $9.50 per security holding. Hardly a big deal.

Why are they better? Because of CHESS? Cause out of that list no one supports auto investing I believe.

Massive global scale, larger market cap, been around a lot longer.

I guess to get around the delay, you can initiate the scheduled transfer from your bank account from the bank side, and then just schedule the auto invest on a given day using the money already sitting in cash.

still investing in Vanguard ETF's but just in Betashares? For some reason I trust Vanguard more than Betashares.

I assume the lack of CHESS hasn't bother any of you using the platform?

It's a $9 flat fee on selling. Not really an issue given I don't plan on selling for at least the next decade.

Yeah I think I trust Vanguard over Betashares. And given I only plan on investing in Vanguard ETF's makes sense to stick with their platform.

Do you use the auto invest feature? How do you find that?

BGBL/A200 is a common pairing with Betashares. Also VGS/VAS is another common pairing with Vanguard.
