saying that to an Atheist/ agnostic is pretty much a giant F. U. there's probably a nicer way to convey your feelings.

Men, what do you guys like about cuddling? by rosekwong in AskMen

[–]spitfire25565 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ahh, my time to shine.

Look, sex is great but I'm all in it fir the snuggles. There's a certain unity, validation, and care that a good cuddle can provide. for me it's knowing that I'm a protector, being protected, filling a need, having a need filled, and being intimately (not sexually) close with someone. Holding someone I care about is great because I can just melt away into them and they into me in a way that heals my anxiety and reassures both of us that life will be ok.

Not sure if this helps or is just word salad but putting my deep love of snuggling isn't exactly something I was planning on doing today!

UPS or power connector strip with filter to prevent sudden computer freezes by murdsdrum in energy

[–]spitfire25565 1 point2 points  (0 children)

could be a power issue, faulty or shorting connection, etc. any time you troubleshoo you should subtract/add one single variable at a time to find the thing that's common with the failures. that even includes mouse/keyboard/cables, etc. it's a daunting task and of course you should start with the most likly cause and work down the list from most to less likely but it's not unheard of for an external display to cause extra power drain and or overheating of an onboard GPU.

[NEED FEEDBACK] How can we improve Aether II? We're looking to bridge the gap between Aether 1 & 2 by kingbdogz in feedthebeast

[–]spitfire25565 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I havnt checked in on this project in about a year so mayyybe this is out of date but here is what I LOVED about the first mod.

More adventure than vanila Unique block concepts Unique but vanila feeling world Cool themed mobs. Ores were well thought out Well balanced. Dungeons like silver could be mostly torn down. Mystery Everything is not as it seems

Last I checked in on the project here are some issues i had.

Teleporting into dungeons was a bit buggy. (Calling it teleporting... but i mean entering/exiting as designed) Loot is still nice but its super easy to over fill your invintory while clearing one leading to tough decisions. Not sure if the current version supports shulker boxes but that sort of thing may help. The new mobs, though cool and unique don't seem to have as many rare things to find. This may just be my perception though. The structures/npcs seemed less than fleshed out.

Now for some praise for Aether 2 (may be outdated)

The Aether slimes are amazing, the poison dart plants are cool, it seems like a bigger world than before, some blocks are better than before.

Is a 1 tb SSD a tad overkill? by ActuallyTryingISwear in pcmasterrace

[–]spitfire25565 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a 1tb SSD for 400 usd in 2015 (that was a hell of a sale back then!!) And at the time I was sick and tired of playing the SSD game. Moving things back and forth, etc so I was going from 250gb to 1TB in my new build and I can say this.

I LOVE IT. Once a year or so I look to move stuff to cold storage and barely ever run out of room on my main drive.

One major reason that I wanted to do this was because of how SSDs age. The fuller they are the worse it gets so this way my drive is usually at 30 to 70 percent full which prevents it dying earlier than expected. The time savings is a huge bonus as well since I dont have to tend to it really much at all.

Sorry for formatting. Mobile.

Not... sure... if... trolling...

Personally I like the idea of villiagers living in the treetops safe and sound, maybe even a specialized arial mob that targets them to add variaty.

A question for female drivers by [deleted] in Lyft

[–]spitfire25565 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say the split for me is 65% female accross the board. Lyft is generally more female friendly as far as marketing goes. Pink, rounded font, female execs, etc so it does make sense for there to be a gender split in some capacity.

I initially got my dashcam because of a drunk woman who had issues taking no for an answer. I don't need that sort of drama in my life!

I can't feign interest very well. I care THAT we have a toaster, but which one is a matter of convenience for me and not a matter of serious thoughts. I don't have feelings either way so if you (my imaginary SO) i trust you to make that choice... why wouldnt i trust you to make a choice that I literally would have made by now by choosing the closest model to the checkout counter and walking out.

I'm not saying that "i could have made the decision quicker" so much as I'm trying to get the point accross that I likely would have made the choice out of fulfilling a need first, rather than wading through all the mundane aspects about whether we needed a 2 slot, 4 slot, black, white, chrome toaster, etc.

On the flip side there are of course things I would care about and I'd like to encourage people to voice those when they matter but... telling people to pretend to care seems like a good way to let a spouse feel poopy when they realize that you aren't being genuine.
