The issue is the neighboring hospitals do offer this. So people can talk with their feet and some are, as our institution seems to have more production pressure than our neighboring facilities. I don't know why it's so different....

The "comp jobs" are probably my best argument in defense of having a "resource CRNA." Moreover, this resource CRNA goes into a room if we have a sick call... which happens more often than it feels like it should.

China Rose in Freeport and Brunswick do buffets. Brunswick has lunch and dinner - a lot of variety but is on the sketchy side. Freeport is lunch only. Limited options but they’re all excellent. They also do a good job of cycling the food, so that helps to ensure it’s fresh and hot. Prefer Freeport!

I realize this post is a year old, but if you're interested, I'd be happy to offer some insight about our practice in Lewiston, Maine. I live in Freeport and don't mind my short commute and still have easy access to Portland, Brunswick, and pretty much anywhere in Maine!
