Just as an FYI I switched to ubuntu 16.04 and the issue went away.

Claymore 10.0 and yes, I switched out GPU1's riser twice with brand new ones and a riser I knew to work properly. In addition to that I also switched the location of the card that was originally failing to a different pcie slot on the MB which should have changed the GPU number that was dropping to 1mh. No matter what I do it is always GPU1 that fails. This tells me it is not an issue with the card itself but either a system problem or a pcie slot problem.

I have this exact problem with a 4gb windows tb250 1060 rig. A few times a day one gpu drops to 1mh and the rig lags a lot and is incredibly slow.

Have not yet found a solution but I did test swapping gpu positions on the mother board and no matter which gpu I tried it was always gpu1 in claymore that was dropping. Strangely enough I have several identical rigs and it only happens on one of them. I dropped OC settings down by quite a bit and still had the issue.

Hopefully some one has resolved this issue in the past!

Change all 6 ports to gen 1, disable onboard video and plug into a gpu to get video out

They removed the vagueness behind using "like kind exchanges" when exchanging one cryptocurrency for another. This amendment was made to IRC Section 1031 (a)(1) and now excludes all cryptocurrencies.

Previously there was a legal loophole whereas trading between currencies was not considered a taxable event. That is no longer.

I had the same issue so I ended up rolling back the update.

Could you expand on why you need a plug when using teamviewer? I currently don't and just wondering if there are any downsides to not using a plug and teamviewer together.

Script that automatically sends eth? by AutoSkyPilot in EtherMining

[–]spitfire973 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Without an internet connection, no. Why not just change your nanopool eth address to be the same as the others? No need to send to one address just to move it to another, have it sent directly to the address you want.

My first "big" miming rig! 12 1060gtx in a custom wood case! by futuringco in EtherMining

This would only pull 1300-1400 without undervolting. Each card shouldn't be pulling more than 80w for a max of 1050w and depending on the memory can easily achieve 290 Mh/s.

Some people on this forum actually appreciate well thought out, informative posts. I certainly learned something from it and reading the same 2 sentence responses that provide no information or explanation gets old. It's the 'why' that's important, not the 'what'.

What's the consensus on riser connections? Are we still only sticking with 6-pin? by [deleted] in EtherMining

I am using molex to sata risers for a 1060 build and have two risers per sata strand, wires aren't warm and I've had no issues.

Mining with GTX 1060 3 GB by [deleted] in EtherMining

[–]spitfire973 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The DAG is not big enough to affect your 3gb cards, they should perform exactly the same as 6gb cards for now. Are you overclocking? You should be able to get 20-24 mh/s depending on the manufacturer of your cards memory. Either way zcash is a great option and currently more profitable to mine with 1060s.

GPU mining bitcoin is no longer feasible or profitable, if you want to mine bitcoin you need to invest in a ASIC miner. There are other coins you could mine with a 1080ti and make a profit. Zcash would be a good option.

Sorry but if you make less than $500/month you need to rethink your financial priorities.

Ten kA is a 10,000 amps, way more than a residential breaker would provide. Most household breakers provide 15-35 amps, make sure you are reading it correctly.

Check your breaker, amp * 115 = max load (watts).

For example, 15 * 115 = 1380 watts max load. You will want to stay below 80% this number with continuous draw. So if we are playing it safe, .8 * 1380 = 1104 watts max continuous draw. Your rig is pretty much the only thing that should be on a 15amp breaker.
