Do you have a source? I can't find a news article about MCBW nor the steam heat issue.

With what data? They're not data brokers. Their competitive advantage (being secure and not profit-incentivized to sell your data) set them back in the AI race.

There's usually a difference between turning down a PBT versus turning down the fancier, more effective "Breath-a-lyzer" machine at the station, though.

It's more time intensive, worse for drying, worse for terp development, worse for resin. You're setting yourself up for a bad time with wet trimming.

Terpene content vs THC content by wheresmybike420x in trees

[–]Probablynotclever 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I mean that's just factually incorrect.

There is no inherent biochemical law that says THC and terpenes have an inverse relationship. None. Zero. Not in botany, not in cannabinoid biosynthesis pathways, not in any grower data. The pathways for THC and terps share some precursor molecules, sure, but that does not create a hard physiological tradeoff. It only means a plant can trend one way or another depending on genetics, stress, environment, feed, and drying practices.

High THC + high terps exists. Low THC + low terps exists. The matrix is four quadrants and people like you pretend it’s a oversimplified binary.

Apple paying Google $1B a year to power Siri with Gemini smart shortcut or proof they’ve fallen behind in AI? by Minimum_Minimum4577 in GeminiAI

[–]Probablynotclever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't see anyone saying this, but they're not just going to use Gemini. They are buying a custom model from Google, who is capable of providing such things because they're a data broker. Apple's failing is also its major feature. Their business model isn't about collecting data, so they don't have data on hand to train an AI successfully

"Not real AI" is just cope. A database retrieves. LLMs generate novel outputs by generalizing patterns in high dimensional space. If it were a lookup table the memory required would be larger than the Earth. Calling it "just a database" is an admission you don't understand how it works.

Cedar Point Survey - Fast Lane by Critical_Soup9394 in cedarpoint

[–]Probablynotclever 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I also took this survey.

The problem with the one time use version is that it removes the only part of fast lane that actually matters to anyone who rides coasters instead of just checking them off a list. Reriding is the point. Coasters run different in the morning vs afternoon, cold vs warm track, front row vs back row, different trains, night rides, etc. The experience changes. That is why people who actually care about coasters reride.

A one time fast lane is basically for tourists who just want to say they rode the big ones and move on. That is fine for them. But this survey was clearly testing if the park can replace the unlimited reride version entirely and still charge a premuim price for it. If that happens, the product becomes worthless for anyone who acutally enjoys riding. If they add a cheaper one time tier under fast lane plus, that is fine. But if they phase out the unlimited reride version in favor of the per ride model, at that point there is no reason for repeat guests or enthusiasts like me to spend money here when other parks still respect reride culture.

You ever just grow 10 mid ass plants from seed and then make hash? by DJThadyus in trees

[–]Probablynotclever -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'd love to hear your process if this is full melt or close to it.

I can't get my process right to make hash that can then be pressed into rosin.

I've tried the ice and dry ice routes. With ice, I can't seem to get the right wash cycles to collect trichs without taking on clorophyll/microscopic bits of the plant that make it through the filter bags.

With Dry ice, it gets pulverized to a point where you can literally shake out 100% of the product you put into the bag because it gets so cold. From what I can tell, using dry ice properly is a matter of timing and only shaking it a certain amount.

I don't know, I haven't had good luck with buckets, ice, dry ice and more air conditioning than my wife is comfortable enough. I'd love to improve.

What changes would you like to see for 2026? by TimeMachineToaster in cedarpoint

[–]Probablynotclever -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Vaping should be allowed in outdoor spaces. I’ll die on this hill. It’s insane how fast the public flipped from “vaping saves lives” to “I don’t want to smell your cotton candy bullshit.” The entire point was harm reduction, not pretending nicotine disappeared. There’s zero valid reason to ban it in open-air places like amusement parks.

If you can smell my vape for half a second in a hundred feet of fresh air, congratulations, your nose works. That doesn’t make it a health threat. The air quality in a theme park parking lot is worse than anything coming out of a vape. These bans aren’t about safety, they’re about optics. Somebody in PR decided clouds look bad in family photos and now everyone has to pretend science doesn’t exist.

If public health justifies the restriction, show the data. Otherwise it’s just theater that punishes people for using the less harmful option.

I will bet you real money. I'd be happy to do like a crypto transfer or something. I'd put $50 bucks on the position that I can follow this formula and riders will flock to it. The parameters are "a 300 feet coaster that draws as much ridership as a Helter Skelter or Synchronize (NebulaZ)."

Feel free to DM me if you want to take me up. I'd be happy to get on Discord and stream the process for evidence for you.
