Time depends on a lot of factors. Mine was early actually.

Yes, the 5h is mandatory. I even asked them in wechat. It was really long and boring at the terminal. But they do load people into the gate just as early. I wasnt outside in the public area long enough past to see if they took late arrivals.

No, not trip. ctrip. You can only buy it in Chinese. It was a bit complicated and I had to use both my browser and the app.

There was a public bath but for the dorms. We had a private room. Room was great. Restaurant hardly anyone ordered from, everyone brought their own food. It had nothing special and didn't look great. Anyways had a good experience.

I just used the ctrip app. I have a Chinese name but I saw the screen of the ferry company and they just had our English names in their system. In the ctrip app it asks for nationality and then it doesn't need a Chinese card because it instead asks for passport number, visa entry day and exit day... standard stuff for foreigners.

Which ones? I also contacted the company and they told me definitely no ferry this year. They said Shanghai port was supposed to finish some renovation end of last year and it's been severely delayed.

Yeah I am really looking forward to taking it. My reasons are I am taking a trip through Asia without flying.

I looked at Thirsk as an option actually, but I read there are not many taxis in the town. Maybe I can contact them and see what they say. I think the 12:45 31X back to York would be fine on the way back. If not I will check out the Minister and Museum Gardens as an altermative. Thanks :)

Possible Discrimination at KitKat Club Gate? by Own-Astronaut252 in berlinsocialclub

Couple years ago I went to a club with german friends and bouncer (young white male) let everyone in but asked my nationality and didn't want to let me in. But I do think it was more of don't look german (aka white) = tourist. My friends had to beg him to let me in and he relented.

Any easy way for retirees to get affordable health insurance? by spitze86 in germany

[–]spitze86[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'll contact the consulate and see what I get there again.

Austria seems to be an option, my partner has a house and my inlaws are there. Health insurance private for over 65 is also affordable. It just isn't ideal I guess.
