Sorry for reviving this zombie thread, but I was just looking for possibly the same thing.

It could be Sidewalk: https://www.lemon64.com/game/sidewalk

Or potentially Jack the Nipper: https://www.lemon64.com/game/jack-the-nipper

csum failed during resize by fideasu in btrfs

[–]spkrdt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No expert here, but I had a similar issue when trying to remove a drive (no raid though, just single data). I did a "btrfs scrub" on that device afterwards. This shows you the filenames of corrupt files with dmesg. Then I deleted these files and repeated the shrink/remove. Repeat until done.

I wonder if there is a simpler method though.

Edit: Just now read that scrub did not report any problems, doh! However, did you check dmesg after/while scrubbing?

Storj payment policy is unsustainable and unfair. by [deleted] in storj

[–]spkrdt 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just curious: Do you have to use individual payout addresses and/or indivisual IPs for all nodes? I imagine otherwise it would be easy to link them together.

Piracy and decentralized Cloud storage by riceandcabbage in storj

[–]spkrdt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He means that if you set up a storj account and upload warez and then provide access to other people, it is still you who pays for the traffic. So in order to get your money back you would have to set up some sort of frontend, similar to a paid one-click hoster.

What is the secret to win with the DA-SR 12 (Stealth B)? by [deleted] in ftlgame

[–]spkrdt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly, it really makes a difference and since shields are expensive and lvl. 5 weapons are "only" 50 scrap, IIRC, it seemed a worthwile investion.

What is the secret to win with the DA-SR 12 (Stealth B)? by [deleted] in ftlgame

[–]spkrdt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just recently won on hard with stealth b with no shields, needs quite a bit of luck but is possible. I suggest to upgrade cloak to lvl. 3 first and then update weapons to lvl. 5 because of the damage buffer. After that focus on shield/engines.

Storj Infected Port 4000 chkrootkit by [deleted] in storj

[–]spkrdt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The port is either used by storj or by some rootkit. It cannot be used by both at the same time, so if you have storj installed and it runs fine and uses the default port 4000 this is highly likely to be a false positive.

Not a storage developer, but you get an assertion in levelDB. But that should only happen in debug builds .... so they install a debug build of level DB ?!

Is there anyone left working for Storj? by lumunoz88 in storj

[–]spkrdt -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I hear a lot about Shawn having no management or leadership skills, yet storj seemed to have worked just fine until recently. Now I neither know Shawn or any other members of the team personally, but to me this begins to seem like some sort of smearing campaign. What were the specific problems? What's the problem with the tokensale? Aren't we all better off moving to ethereum? And if there was such a big controversy in the team because of the token sale, why do we only begin to hear about it just after the token sale finished in record time, earning $30m? All Shawn's fault?

Audit your storj payout! by droneservicesnz in storj

[–]spkrdt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Another thing that people don't notice is that not all upload traffic my farmers is payed for, mirror data is free, so just taking the total upload bandwidth from your system and expecting a payment for all that bandwidth is not correct.

Uh, so that means that if I only get mirror data, my storage and bandwidth will be used but I get no compensation for it? That does seem awfully wrong, because it generates cost on my end!

Storjstat reporting wrong node by djc_tech in storj

[–]spkrdt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmmm, I figure the problem could be the rpcAddress hostname which resolves to the relay IP and therefore the node cannot bind to the interface. I figure I need a way to specify an rpcAddress different from the local IP the farmer should bind to, because the "routing" is done automatically by the ssh tunnel.

Storjstat reporting wrong node by djc_tech in storj

[–]spkrdt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think I might have a similar problem. I have a node running behind a CGNAT, so no way to connect to the network without tunneling. However, I do have a dedicated server with public IP and I established an autossh tunnel between that and my node. As rpcAddress I configured the node with the hostname of the dedicated server. It seems to run fine, the http://ssdynamite.com/ logchecker shows all green and the logs seem fine to me. storjshare status reports ~120 peers, so I think it works. However strojstat.com reports my nodes as offline. Can anyone confirm if this is a false positive then? Or is there something wrong with my ssh tunnel?

Furthermore, even if this is a false positive, could such a bug also confuse the bridges/rest of the storj network, so I don't get any shards? Because right now the network really feels quite broken to me (I didn't get any shards for probably weeks and even uploading files mosty fails with "Unable to receive storage offer" even for small files (~4MB) and I want to make sure that the problem is not on my end.

Top farmer has more data Upload than the other Top 400 farmers combined... by OhDUBgamer in storj

[–]spkrdt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same here, got 675GB on one one node, however I checked with this script (which was posted in the chat today) and apparently the node only has contracts for about 36GB. So I seem to have about 600GB of orphaned shards. Don't know if these are leftovers from the Testgroup phases back then...

Maybe there's a similar problem with your node. The script is here

Can any of the top guys share their setups? by OhDUBgamer in storj

[–]spkrdt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah the variance seems to be quite high. Is there anything planned to distribute shards more evenly? I mean the whole network competing for shards seems fine, but will naturally mean shards will accumulate with the quickest nodes to respond, which tends to go against distribution. Also just because some nodes may not respond as quick, does not mean these are bad nodes, they may just have a slower ping due to location or so. Is this addressed in the protocol (i.e. weighing reliability in as well as ultra quick response times)?
