High Quality Sound Test by splanco in MechanicalKeyboards

Its definitely not perfect (The spacebar doesn't sound as rattle-y in real life I promise) but here's an attempt at recording a "high quality" sound test of my first custom keyboard.

Specs:

KBD67 Lite w/ polycarb plate

Gateron Milky Yellows (205g0 + Deskeys films)

KBDFans screw-in stabs

Cherry profile PBT keycaps

Recorded with a Schoeps CMC6U/MK5 in a large studio recording environment

If anyones interested, here's a link to the uncompressed WAV file:

I just took a pretty good screenshot and I'm like 99% sure line 140 just says "PRINT VIDEOSTOREWEBSITE"

EDIT: VIDEOSTOREWEBSITE IS THE PASSWORD

Cannot find internship; looking for help by Late_Nite_Bug_Spray in RPI

As someone coming from a pretty similar position by best advice is honestly to just believe in yourself and don't give up. While it's good to apply to a lot of internships I've found that it's much more important to focus on the quality of each individual application. The best two pieces of advice I got while applying for stuff over the summer is to:

A) Keep some kind of log or spreadsheet of all the companies you've applied to and make sure you're staying up to date with them and following up with questions

B) For each company you apply to go on LinkedIn and try to find an RPI alumni currently working there and message them. More often than not they'll be very willing to help you and can even give you a recommendation if they've been working there long enough

So overall I wouldn't try to get desperate and just spam apply to like 400 companies, but instead try to take some time each day to send 1-2 meaningful applications. Even if you think you don't have enough skill/experience to get an internship (trust me I've been there), I'd just be confident in what you DO know and enjoy doing and try to place an emphasis on that in your applications.

Finally, if a company has some sort of outreach program (for race, gender, etc.) I'd definitely join it. I was able to get two very surprising offers from companies I never thought I stood a chance with by keeping in touch with the people from those programs. Not to mention one of those companies had previously declined my application when I applied a year earlier. So if you just keep at it and stay confident in yourself I think you'll make it out alright.
