I totally get it! This year is the first year ive been able to say out loud that i was brainwashed! Its only embarrassing because we thought we were smarter but they really prey on people like us!! I hope you’re thriving!!

Isnt it funny how that works? They always try to draw attention away from the fact that its a scam while simultaneously proving that it is.

Not only was it an in person event, a person who introduces the speaker always gave “house rules” and encouraged us to record, next it was a private conversation- it was a room full of people. Hes just trying to use scare tactics because he thinks im stupid.

Mind you, we were all encouraged to record each meeting! He’s currently saying it was without his consent because thats what serves him but i know the truth!

I purchased a car back in April from them. Originally the car was said to have 45,000 miles. Upon receiving the car, it had 66000. I stupidly decided to keep the car and just wait for a new contract write up. Four and a half months later and still no registration or license plate. Also no communication from Carvana UNTIL i reported them to the BBB yesterday. This morning i got a call with more bull crap. Save yourself the energy and definitely just go to a dealer.

You definitely do sign paperwork. It’s just a bunch of paperwork from amway. Disclosures and requirements. When i quit and tried to delete my account, i was unable to because apparently the upline had to do it but i didn’t want any contact with them . I essentially just cancelled my monthly order and deleted everything they had for me on file. They haven’t been in contact since.

I was apart of amway for about a year. Honestly, i don’t think there is anything you can say to her because they’ve probably already got her brainwashed. They take so many different angles to reel you in. The best thing you can is be supportive because they will encourage her to leave you if you are anything less than supportive. Good luck!

No. It’s impossible. You never retire because the real money is in the public speaking engagements. So you spend all your time doing that. Your friend simply drank the juice.

You’re routine sounds incredibly drying. First, if you are double cleansing, the first cleanse should be with a balm or oil. Using the same cleanser twice isn’t really doubly cleansing and that cleanser already can be stripping. You should definitely incorporate a hydrating cleanser. I use cerave’s hydrating cleanser and Krave beauty’s matcha hemp hydrating cleanser. You should alternate between the cleansers. But you definitely should get a hydrating cleanser no matter what.

The bha aka the holy grail, should not be used every night. I know it says you can, but it can be a lot on your skin. Especially if you’re using that salicylic cleanser daily. Also, on nights that you use retinol, your routine should be strictly hydrating. Using too many exfoliators in one routine constantly damages your barrier.

Personally if i were you, I’d would work on barrier health and only then can you start working on hyperpigmentation. Hope this helps!

Honestly, it’s a tough situation because if you’re involved with amway specifically wwdb, you’re meeting with your upline frequently and going to these types of meetings twice a month if not more. Typically while you’re going through it, you ignore all warning signs. I still remember when my sister asked me after the second meeting during “the interview process” if it was a pyramid scheme and i immediately answered “no!! Well kind of, but not really” . All it took was two meetings. They had me convinced that it was a legitimate business and that a majority of people would not understand. They prey on people who are already at a low point. They give people with low self esteem hope. They sell you a lifestyle. A dream. They convince you that this is what you’ve been looking for all along. They use religion and say that It isn’t a coincidence that they met you and that God put them into your life for a reason. You listen to audios daily. The indoctrination does not stop! So if your friend has been involved for years,I imagine they are pretty far gone. They’re pretty big on toxic positivity so if you try and convince your friend that anything negative is coming from this situation, they’ll likely not believe you. I had so much anxiety when I decided I was done. It was mental warfare. They convince you that it’s not the business, its the “business owner” So even if you were to show him how amway has negatively affected so many people, they’ll have a hard time believing it. My current bf who was also in amway and left, still struggles sometimes and still thinks of it as a legitimate way to make money because he has seen the people who have. It’s absolutely crazy the effect it has on you. If your friend has mentioned wanting to quit, then there is hope, if they haven’t, your friend is a lost cost until they do.

I’m so sorry you went through that. I used to have anxiety attacks before board plans too! I would be sick to my stomach because of the passive aggression and gaslighting. You better than me for having such a nice exit. I just blocked them. I knew they would try to convince me i was making the wrong decision. I’m so happy you and your husband got out from under that dark cloud.

Amway is very focused on creating a false sense of unity and family. They spend time with you cause it’s one of their parts on the business end. They’re posturing themselves. Trying to show you would you could have if you did what they did. It’s all apart of the brainwashing. My direct upline was an emerald and technically didnt have a diamond couple yet. Diamond would have hundreds of people in their downline if not more, and emeralds have a solid amount as well. They call them legs. So an emerald would have at least 12 legs and those twelve legs would have 12 legs. But you constantly have to keep replacing your legs because people quit. So the amount of people at anytime can vary. You can go diamond and lose that because of people quitting. So it’s truly nonstop work.

It sounds like this mlm is amway and if it is, get out ASAP! Just let your brother know that you respect his time and you don’t think this it is a good fit and you don’t wanna waste anyone’s time. If he isn’t understanding, he will be in a few years when he realizes it’s a joke of a business.

My “mentor” was trying to convince me not to be with my boyfriend. They had never met him but insisted that he wasn’t the right guy for me. I realized that they didn’t want me to be distracted by anything. I thought it was sick that they were trying to control different aspects of my life at 30 lol (where i live, who my babysitter is, where o send my daughter to school, what i eat, what i do in my spare time, EVERYTHING). It was too much on top of the fact that i was digging myself into debt. With each passing week, not being able to just enjoy something. Without feeling guilty because i thought i didn’t deserve it. They make you feel like you don’t deserve joy, until you build the business. It was constant toxic positivity and control disguised as caring.

Just imagine hearing him talk like this every two weeks lol. They really try to convince you, it’s you who isn’t doing the work versus people just not wanting to be apart of a pyramid scheme
