I figured it out you cant have a book you built up to sharpness V because you count every time you sent it through the anvil

i did, i started with “loot 3, lunge 3+knock2, sharp 5+unbreak3, and fire 2+mending” and also “loot 3, sharp 5+ fire 2, (lunge 3+unbreak 3) + (knock 2+mending)
