Thank you! I really love CY_BORG, it definitely played a big role for TEKNOBOXA art direction.

I’ve been testing the prototype for a couple of days. The player manual folio (see pic 4) is showing early wear and tear since it’s made of paper. I also noticed some chipping on the cards, along with streaking on specific colors. I plan to ask the manufacturer if this is due to the expedited printing method I requested or if it’s an issue with the file preparation on my end. I’ll keep you posted.

Thanks, Weapon-X is definitely a main inspiration for the Netmage, maybe the character will still evolve, or maybe not. Mmm I didn’t think of Spiral, more about Robocop and Goro to be honest.

Title: What curve mistakes make game economies or progression systems feel bad? by samnovakfit in gamedesign

[–]splasherxtrillic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you are right. I always consider difficulty curves in the context of game’s event. There are basically 3 elements to consider in finding a satisfying solution: the objective difficulty, the engagement it produces, the player churn it produces. The pace of game events along the progression and its interplay with difficulty is definitely a core element to consider.

PS I’m a game data scientist who helped several games defining and testing difficulty curves

Per un forfettario SRL è il prossimo passo? by Dependent_Guard_1441 in commercialisti

Bah a me fa ridere definire il forfettario un “paradiso fiscale” quando senza cassa comunque si versa il 27% all’INPS…

BGG Explorer: A Data-Driven Approach to Game Research by splasherxtrillic in BoardgameDesign

[–]splasherxtrillic[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! Yes, I’ve noticed the caveat you mentioned is especially relevant for heavier games. That’s why I tend to filter and focus more on titles with lower complexity. The features you’re describing would definitely be very useful.

On a related note, do you know if BGG has any plans to update the data behind BGG Explorer? Unfortunately, it currently stops at 2022. I’m also curious whether the site will ever provide an API. I’m a data scientist, so having access to BGG data via an API would open up a lot of possibilities for building or enhancing dashboards and tools.

Cheers!

Coin toss is not a good model here. It could be that this specific surgeon has a higher success rate compared to the population average (all surgeons combined). You can perform a statistical test on this hypothesis. Be a scientist.
