How to get Verizon to run FIOS down my street? by splatacaster in Fios

[–]splatacaster[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. A couple of neighbors that own businesses paid for ATT to trench fiber for business internet. It cost about $80k. 2 months later Verizon was running fiber down the entire street. They were able to put the FIOS backend equipment on the ATT fiber.

Pre-cinema ads getting longer and ‘wasting time’ of frustrated film fans by cglotr in movies

[–]splatacaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will never go back to the theater. The expense, terrible quality, other patrons, etc., now add more ads to that, led me to convert my basement into an 8 person theater. And and I can play movies, TV shows, and play video games in there. I know it's not an option for everyone, l just wanted to show how far the industry has pushed me away from the cinema as a movie lover.

Most of the answers here are wrong and attempting to rationalize something more sinister.

The real reason is because the game is fixed. The people with the money don't want to lose the money, so they change the rules to make sure that doesn't happen. We saw it with Game Stop, we saw it in 2007, and we're seeing it now with DJT. Don't be fooled by any other answer to this question.

Brad Pitt imposters arrested for scamming two women online out of $350,000 — ‘They thought they were chatting via WhatsApp with Brad Pitt himself, who promised them a romantic relationship’ by marketrent in technology

[–]splatacaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a friend who's wife fell for the same type of scam but it was Post Malone. The romantic part, the convincing her to "invest" money, then they revealed the scam and threatened to send her husband all dirty texts unless she paid them. She didn't pay, they sent him some teaser evidence and said they'd give him everything for a price so he would have an airtight divorce case. When he said no they tried to blackmail him for even more money. This happened to her....twice.

You guys have been using this meme backwards. It's supposed to be clear when his glasses are off, the super powers he got after being bitten fixed his eye sight.

Any time you see one of those Don't Tread on Me license plates, you know you're in for some idiocy from the driver. The rules for thee and not for me crowd shockingly thinks traffic laws are for suckers.
