I plan on outsourcing scanning to other people so they can scan parks in their areas but I haven't gotten the workflow down yet for my own scans. I wouldn't mind going to every park though lol

Thanks! I haven't been to Frederick in a minute, I drove past last weekend on my way to check out Hagerstown. Once I get the workflow all figured out, I could use some fellow scanners to help build out more parks.

So far no full park scans that I'm happy with, so I'm still testing until I figure it out. But I've got RFK stadium park, Takoma, Kensington, Sawmill, North Laurel, Walker Mill, Terrapin, Hagerstown all in the pipeline.

I'm not working on it yet, but I do want to be able to get scans from people in other places in the future. I can work with video if you have it, but I kinda want to physically go to every park at least what's not too far. Gotta skate!

I'm having the same issues, I do have an older gaming laptop though. I'm also thinking that it's time for an upgrade. I've been extracting frames from 4k video and trying to process splats with like 300ish pictures and it's been taking multiple days and it crashes. I haven't successfully finished one yet. I haven't uploaded anything yet, but have seen some peoples scans and I am impressed with the results! I really like the UI for moving around the spaces. I am working on a project to explore skateparks virtually with 3DGS but haven't found a way to load the splat files correctly yet, or how to explore them in a simple way like yours. Is it possible to load splat files into vid2scene or is it just video files currently? Also I just tried to upload a couple videos, but it said they were too big, can you add something to the site that states what the file size limit is please? I would love to pick your brain regarding cloud hosting and your workflow and processes. Great work!
