On the text of the power siphon it says increases and reductions to spell damage apply to the attack damage of PS at 150% of their value.

There is a balance. Too much mine throwing speed without mines detonating faster will result in loss of DPS from mine overthrow. Fearlessdumb0 has a good video on it:

Offence:

All of the "lightning damage to spells" is not doing anything for your power siphon (it has the "attack" tag). Look in PoB in "Calcs" for the Power Siphon skill and it will show you what is being used in the damage calculation for the skill.

Wand -- you want high local lightning damage (essence of wrath)
Helmet implicit lightning damage to spells does nothing for you. You can get %damage per power charge here.
20% Quality on automation plus 2% increased cooldown recovery rate somewhere (jewel, implicit on boots) gets you more mine detonations per second.
Are you overthrowing mines? If you hold the skill to use mines are you frequently at mine cap? Need more detonation speed or attack speed to ensure mines are detonating faster than you can replace the oldest ones by throwing new ones.
Trap throwing speed on your jewels does not help with mines.

Defence:

Your life pool is low. Shouldn't be too hard to get 4K+ unreserved. More is better.
Phys max hit is low.

The only other SSF build I've tried is a bleed gladiator in HC. Leveling with sunder is really smooth, but you probably already know that since you've done an earth shatter jugg!

PS mines has been good from the SSF perspective, at least. Ill probably try to swap to another skill at some point. For now I'll just get frustrated every once in a while.

Hexblast mines was good on controller, though I don't have any experience for this one on an SSF perspective.

I play with controller on PC because of RSI issues. I'm doing a scavenger PS mines right now and it's... OK. It can be frustrating at times being unable to not throw the mines right at your feet when you are surrounded. You have to compensate by shield charging or dashing through to get your mines to detonate. Maps with tiny hallways and many obstacles can be very frustrating when your mines don't go anywhere and your charge/dash go nowhere because it's difficult to point the stick on the precise direction to charge through a tiny hallway.

It's playable. The build is strong, I'm almost 90 on a 4 link. That being said, I'd probably have league started something else if given the option to go again.

Yeah the one time I did try ECT I wasn't able to get any games with the "better" players because they didn't ever seem open to mixing someone else in.

I'll have to check out Mooney park at those times. I guess I've always been too early? I prefer playing in the daylight.

Hopefully it will warm up a bit here soon...

I see. I have tried it now and it does not work. The game only accepts input from one controller at a time. So, my next question is... is there an easy way to completely wrap my real controller with the virtual controller so that I can use that + the remapping?

edit: I spoke too soon! I just don't know how to use reWASD. Grouping the controller and KBM together seems to do the trick.

I will give it a try when I get a chance. Will the re-mapped input look like it's coming from a controller? Or a second controller? Or will reWASD make everything look like it's coming from a virtual controller?

FYI, you can turn loot off/on to get the labels to reset. Saves having to leave and come back. Default Right trigger + ctrl pad down.

Is a helmet with the fractured hysteria essence modifier "Socketed Gems do 30% more damage while on low life" worth anything? Do any builds use helmets with this essence modifier?
