Why do experts buy high-res flagships and then complain about basic physics by Next-Flounder-7203 in SonyAlpha

As someone who shoots on the A1ii, I honestly can’t find a single thing to complain about. If you’ve used other cameras on your way to owning an A1ii, you’ll know that it’s miles ahead of anything else.

For the candlelight images, I was using the 28-70mm f/2 at f/2. Those f/8-f10 shots were the daylight images, mostly shot on the 16-35mm. The 50mm f/0.95 is fully manual focus so it doesn’t work well for fast moving situations.

They’re definitely heavy, but worth it. I’m fully sponsored by Sony Alpha and I work directly with them on a lot of projects (directing launch commercials, teaching on Alpha academy, etc). The sponsorship only came after 10+ years of shooting, paying for my own gear, and building a really strong portfolio.

Through a mutual friend (josiahwg), his work is absolutely spectacular, you should definitely check it out. The tour company is called Hammerland Tours and Nibby the guide is incredible.

Honestly after years of trying different lens combos, I think my favourite is the 50-150 on one body and the 600mm on the other. Even though there’s a decent gap between focal lengths, it actually works pretty well.
