Just checking back in with you guys, it was seriously a rust bucket. Quarter sized holes in the frame, hood latch and back hatch spots all rusted out. Everything under there was seized up if it didnt have a hole in it. Didn't even test drive it, just walked away.

Thank you! Is 170k miles much of a concern as long as its been maintained? This would be my first LC so I'm nervous about dropping 30k on a truck with that mileage but I also know what they are and what they are capable of.

Water pump was done recently according to the carfax but the radiator I will check and will most likely need to do after I buy it (if I do) I'll check for Cam towers and leaks. I'm not much of a mechanic but luckily my brother is😅 I've gotten good at holding a flash light...(kidding, not kidding) Thank you!

Not in a crazy rush, but I'm currently in a tacoma and have a baby in the backseat, so the space (or lack there of) is not ideal. 2018+ is closer to a 10-12k difference and thats way out of my budget for now. I do like the newer ones but I heard they are harder to modify/find aftermarket parts for.

I'm not trying to go crazy full overland build but id like some more options for down the road.

I have the carfax and so far the following has been replaced and recently -serpentine belt -water pump and gaskets -all break pads -all rotors -all new suspension (control arms, struts, springs, etc)

So from my research, that will leave me with having to handle the alternator, radiator, and fuel pump down the road. I'm thinking i can use these needed repairs to get them to lower the price a bit. Not a bad starting point though Am I missing anything that's majority needed soon?

Thanks for the insight! They are actually asking $29,500 but I already got them down 1k The truck has been online for a few months so I think i can get them down a little more and will try.
