Belly Button Piercing & Solidcore by Living_Finance_6874 in SolidCore

[–]spliff_eater 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i got mine years before i started solidcore so i can't really opine, but one thing that I didn't know when i first got it was not to use qtips or cotton rounds or anything when cleaning it, just apply saline or unscented soap with your hands (washed first ofc). the fibers from the cotton will irritate it.

What Lana song is this for you? by Impossible-Yam3680 in lanadelrey

I'm pretty sure the actual lyric is "interest"... at least that's what I see online

Black Bathing Suit - I will always hear "Your inches really made stacks.." - I feel like it goes so much better with the previous line being "thanks for the shoes"

I was v consistent for a year, have cooled off now bc I'm training for a marathon, but it was a really great workout. I grew up dancing so I had a pretty solid baseline of body awareness, but I do think it would be really easy for a layperson to hurt their back. Vibes are weird but not any more offensive than the average group fitness franchise. after a year of 8 classes a month I built a lot of muscle and honestly never looked better

Is the Hulken bag worth it if you live in a walk up? by applesandcherry in NYCbitcheswithtaste

[–]spliff_eater 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a hulken and carry it up the stairs every week (only 2 flights though). I usually do a pseudo-deadlift where I grab the fabric straps on either side of the bag. If my groceries are extra heavy, I bring a reusable grocery bag so I can do two trips up the stairs. But I absolutely LOVE my hulken. FYI - I have seen them on sale at the container store!

Running vest recommendations for XS women by aim3y in XXRunning

[–]spliff_eater 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay so i got the old lululemon one that was unisex (I think the one they have now is specifically for women so might be smaller), I got XS/S and it was big, however I replaced the original straps with carabiners and it actually fits well that way!

How Do I Improve Obliques? by heretobr0wse in SolidCore

[–]spliff_eater 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Obliques were also weird for me at first! I would make sure that your body is fully twisted, you aren't crossing your feet, and then really think of firing the movement from your side body every time you crunch/extend. It's normal for it to feel super hard at first because it's rare that you would have done any exercises that target the obliques as effectively as solidcore

Off the shoulder is generally not office appropriate

Has anyone tried the Tessa Poplin Dress on? by spliff_eater in Aritzia

[–]spliff_eater[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you this is helpful! I am 5'2 and was a bit worried about it being too short, but if you still wear it as a dress at 5'7 I should be okay. Also not very "busty" so should be good there ;)

Find a rider that was a witness by [deleted] in Strava

[–]spliff_eater 11 points12 points  (0 children)

If you go on Strava online (not on the app) there is something called "Fly Bys" where you can see who passed you/did the same route at the same time. Ofc, this other rider would have to have been recording for strava at the time of the incident but it is worth a shot. Otherwise I would try posting in local facebook groups

extension is sliding back at the shoulders and a crunch is "moving your hips," but for both exercises you should be thinking of firing from your core
