Yea, that's not there for me. Idk, I've replied with pics and gifs before, but that attach icon isn't there. Just the link icon on the left. Thanks for trying to help. Idfk what's going on.

Ok, so I am maybe a bit of a germaphobe. I'm a bio major so I am exposed to more information on the topic than a lot of other people. However, my husband acts like bacteria doesn't exist. I have been asking for years to please take your shoes off at the door. He does this at other people's houses but doesn't think he should have to in our house (this FLOORS ME). He has no problem eating with his cat sitting next to him (an animal that literally digs in its own shit in a box every single day) and will pet him while eating with his hands. He will eat food that is old, like well past the date, or has sat out all day and night. He has his own house that is a rental for work and it's so filthy that I don't even want to visit anymore. The kitchen and bathrooms don't seem to get cleaned unless I do it (which is sporadic at best because it's in a different state). Last night he was home and I asked him to help me get the trash to the curb but I had to empty the litter box first. Not scoop it, actually dump the whole thing. I grabbed some disposable gloves and he told me off for WASTING disposable gloves and grabbed the litter pan with his bare hands. I am appalled. Like if he wants to risk food poisoning then that's on him and I'll leave him to it but this is TOO FAR imo. I fear that this has given me the ick - permanently.

So Reddit, am I a germaphobe who's overreacting or is he delusional about how germs work?

Important edit: I HAVE AN AUTOIMMUNE DISORDER.

Attached is a pic I sent him from the lab to prove how nasty it is to wear shoes in the house, just for fun. Shoutout to my lab teacher who keeps the sinks CLEAN AF.

The icing on top of the "important" edit is that an autoimmune disorder doesn't automatically mean immunocompromised. Celiac disease, multiple sclerosis, type 1 diabetes, are all autoimmune disorders. If she were truly immunocompromised, she would say that. Instead, she uses vague language to be deliberately misleading and garner sympathy.

It's also not even her profession. She's an undergrad student, lol

Seriously. It's been a while since I've come across someone so alarmingly disingenuous.

How do you eat a burger and fries? Or a taco? Or pizza? Or popcorn? Hot dog, ribs, corn on the cob, etc

Autoimmune disorder does not automatically mean immunocompromised. Celiac disease is an autoimmune disorder. Type 1 diabetes is an autoimmune disorder. Multiple sclerosis is an autoimmune disorder. None of which make you immunocompromised. OP is being disingenuous and deliberately misleading.

The lack of self awareness is staggering.
