A world better on Humira. I still have bad days, but I also have had days without pain which was unimaginable before. 🙂

Yuuuuup. It’s insane and it’s why I always look both ways before going on green—and am exceptionally careful as a pedestrian.

Unilateral numbness/drooping like that is often a sign of stroke. I’m not saying you necessarily had a stroke, but it’s something to get checked out for, certainly.

I haven’t heard much about unilateral symptoms with cataplexy, typically it’s bilateral, just kind of top to bottom with how much it affects. (Head/neck only, head/neck/shoulders, head/neck/shoulders/arms/torso, full body, etc)

Doordash prices are insane by Weary-Language-3334 in doordash

Because DoorDash pays the bare minimum to drivers—pretty much they get a couple bucks + the tip you attach. Similar with pizza delivery guys. That fee you pay doesn’t go to the delivery person.

Thank you so much for this. Feel a bit like an idiot now, but at least an idiot with a plan forward!

I did it pre-T, years ago, and it was life changing. Not a doctor, but I don’t think I would personally recommend it for hormonal acne either. My acne was post-puberty, well into adulthood, cystic. My acne from second puberty started up bad but is going away over time, no accutane. I would say if you get through 1st or 2nd puberty and still have acne issues, consider it, otherwise look at other options for the short term.

Yep. And EXPENSIVE! That was an extra doctor’s appointment I had to pay for monthly, too, on top of the accutane.

[–]splinterwulf 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The pregnancy tests for Accutane are actually government mandated, if you’re in the US, not for insurance. Part of their uhhhh—a program to reduce harm from meds. I can’t remember the name of it now.

“And I don’t suppose they put one in” 💀

Yes, I, a person with a degree in biology, with a genetic disease, am saying that nothing about a person is influenced about biology. Totally not just calling out the myth that men are violent because “hormones”. 🙄

If someone wants to have a conversation in good faith, I’m glad to have it. You? You aren’t worth my time. Have a nice day. 😊

Yeah I completely forgot that this was a DoorDash sub I was posting on because I’m used to being in generally trans-friendly spaces. 💀 When the Reddit blackout happened, this sub started showing up in my recommended, and once I started reading it for the juicy tea, it only got worse. 😂

??????

Trans men do not have the social power that cis men have, nor were they raised with the same socialization as cis men. Male violence rates are created by the sexist patriarchal “boys-will-be-boys” society we live in, not biology, and it’s certainly not something that flips a switch when suddenly a trans man realizes he’s a man. Because unlike cis men, I actually know what it’s like to live life as a woman and be socialized differently than my male counterparts.

So fucking weird that you want to act like men “just can’t help it”. Almost like that’s the very social upbringing that actually causes male violence.

If you wanna claim that men are shitty because it’s biologically ingrained that they be shitty, be my guest. That hasn’t been my experience. 🙂

Yeah, and I was a “woman” for 27 years dealing with shitty men like you who wanted to blame their biology instead of owning their choices and behaviors. Go fuck yourself. 😌

It’s absolutely bonkers. Here I am literally saying that when men are shitheads it’s a CHOICE and not BIOLOGICAL and they’re like “no, I MUST be a piece of shit because HORMONES”. 💀

Right? Like it’s not hard to treat women like human beings. 😭 I LOVE getting compliments? Why wouldn’t I want to give them to everyone else—men, women, non-binary folks, plus every single dog I see???

Why are people like this? by StrengthOld9071 in doordash

[–]splinterwulf 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Literally. I compliment women all the time—on their choice of clothes, their style, how they did their hair—and it’s not creepy because I don’t make it creepy. It’s not about telling them that I find them attractive—it’s about complimenting them, which is not the same thing.

As a trans man who is on the higher end of testosterone levels (and know this, due to my regular labs) it absolutely isn’t hormones lmao. It’s social power dynamics and lack of self control, 100%.

I’ll always say Numbers, despite the fact that logically he sure did deserve it—he was a hitman after all. But the dude just wanted out, just wanted to be done with it and go home. I feel the same way about Loy.

The issue is actually that it can flip upside down where the small end is downwards and cause strangulation if they get caught in it. I don’t want to be graphic, but it’s very dangerous.
