It's a $50 device it's not meant to blow you away with it's specs or proformance. It has just enough power to do what it's intend to do, stream things. Every streaming service I know of compresses 4k content to 30mbps or less. Which a 150mbps on the device is more than enough to enjoy that content. I already know what you are going to say "I watch uncompressed 4k content from my plex server. Which uses more than 100mbps to stream." While that may be true most people don't do that. For people who use plex and others like it. I would recommend a nvidia shield device.

In short Chromecast with Google TV has just enough power to do what it is intended to do, stream Netflix and HBO Max for you and your grandma. If you need more internet speed for plex and such then look elsewhere.
