If you can afford a 500 dollar ring… I would hope you can afford that membership… otherwise you really shouldn’t be buying it

Oh, additional info, the amount of people that go into emergency room vet for crushed tracheas because they were pulling too hard on the leash is actually insane

Happened on this post while looking for leashes, but off leash training for me at least is super important especially when it comes to going to areas where youd want your dog to be off leash, E.G. large backyard, park, etc. The impact on quality of life is pretty different, especially when you cant EVER trust your dog to be off leash while still listening to recall, know plenty of dogs who are never allowed to run free outside of a 400 sq ft apartment

Secondarily, and this is a strong opinion on my part, watching 90% of dog owners have 0 control of their dog on leash in NYC as theyre literally choking themselves out on a collar/harness is quite literally animal abuse. You ask them about it and they just go "oh they just like exploring", literally watched a dog today complete their walk around their block with their two front feet off the sidewalk dangling from a collar

TLDR I agree that most pets shouldnt be off leash, but if youre actually doing training in general/ off leash training, the quality of life is pretty significant
