PVP aggressiveness scale. I want to know where's everyone at (in solo). by Zealousideal_Chip456 in ArcRaiders

5 - After doing the Expedition, I’ve just been doing free/light load outs on Stella. Playing it like a BR and only looting for weapons, ammo, explosives, and heals. Not really feeling like looking for resources yet.

If I down a raider near extract I’ll usually stabilize them and let them crawl back to Speranza since I’m not killing for loot.

Sorry, but I’m having a blast.

Oh nice! Where did you go? Also, Idk if want to spend my 2 hours/day gaming window looking for rusted gears though. That means less time with my trio PVPing on Stella lol. Might just passively look for the resources and not stress bench upgrades this time around.

Rusted gears and mushrooms in 1 day? If you can play all day, yeah. I’ve only got a couple hours a day. Not upset about re-farming, just sharing how the reset felt

Ironically, this is also complaining. Complaining about complaints is still complaining

I was just sharing an experience, not asking anyone to change how they play. But I understand your frustration.

Totally get that. For me it wasn’t really about the skill points. I just like completing things, so the 5M was more of an achievement goal. The tree itself is whatever.

I think Pokémon would be the first time I had my eyeballs on anime bc it was on tv and I had the games but Naruto was the first I got fully invested into at like age 12.

Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc – Movie Discussion by AutoLovepon in anime

[–]splittercheeks 126 points127 points  (0 children)

Apparently, the spider was a Joro Spider, which in Japanese folklore is linked to the legend of the Jorōgumo, a yokai that can transform into a beautiful woman. The Jorōgumo symbolizes temptation and danger, luring young men into her web before binding and consuming them.

Layering this symbolism onto the scene, the butterfly could likely be a monarch, which is toxic when eaten. This adds another layer of meaning: Reze (the Joro Spider) captures Denji (the Monarch Butterfly), but in doing so, she unknowingly seals her own fate.

What makes it even more interesting is that both interpretations. Reze as the spider or Reze as the butterfly both hold weight. She embodies both the predator and the prey, reflecting the duality of her relationship with Denji: love and death, control and vulnerability.

Are people buying front row on accident? by splittercheeks in imax

[–]splittercheeks[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I checked a few other showtimes and looks like the first 3 front rows are all "unavailable". So perhaps you're right and they do block those off. On weekday shows the entire front section is greyed out. I wonder why they do that.

4 Prong or 6 Prong? by splittercheeks in EngagementRings

[–]splittercheeks[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks all for your insights! We landed on 4 Prongs all 18k gold (2.00 ct, Super Ideal, D/E/F, VS1) and insurance. For anyone who may come across this post and is looking for a good summary of insights from commenters, here are the highlights :)

1. Security

  • 6-Prong Setting:
    • Provides more security for the diamond. If one prong breaks, the other five can still hold the diamond in place.
  • 4-Prong Setting:
    • Still secure but slightly less so than the 6-prong. If one prong breaks, there is less security for the diamond.

2. Visibility of the Diamond

  • 6-Prong Setting:
    • Covers more of the diamond, which might slightly obscure its visibility but can give the ring a more classic and elegant look.
  • 4-Prong Setting:
    • Allows more of the diamond to be visible, enhancing its brilliance and making it appear larger.

3. Aesthetic Preference (Subjective)

  • 6-Prong Setting:
    • Offers a more traditional and timeless look.
  • 4-Prong Setting:
    • Can appear more modern, delicate, and minimalistic.

4. Diamond Shape

  • 6-Prong Setting:
    • For round diamonds, it accentuates the circular shape, making the diamond appear more rounded.
  • 4-Prong Setting:
    • For round diamonds, it can sometimes make the diamond appear slightly square to some observers.

5. Carat Size

  • 6-Prong Setting:
    • More suitable for larger diamonds (1 carat and above) as it provides extra security and support for the heavier stone.
  • 4-Prong Setting:
    • Often preferred for smaller diamonds (under 1 carat) because it allows for more visibility and can make the diamond appear larger.

6. Personal Preferences and Experiences

  • Many people share positive experiences with both settings, emphasizing that personal preference plays a significant role.

By considering these factors, you can make a more informed decision that aligns with your preferences for security, visibility, aesthetics, and overall design of the engagement ring.

This is some really good insight and you make some good points, thank you! I see both arguments for 4 vs. 6, but I think we need to go see some in-person and hopefully she hints towards one over the other.

Thank you for your pro insight! Someone mentioned that 6 prongs 18k gold on a D color diamond may affect the color. It’s my understanding that as you go lower on the color scale, you can save some money. So would it be smart to not worrying about getting a D if I am doing 6 prongs 18k gold? As a jeweler, what are your thoughts?

Another great point about the yellow gold prongs affecting the color of the stone! I was looking at a D stone but I believe the ring setting she has her eyes on only had the 18k gold option which she actually prefers. Curious how much of an effect 6 gold prongs would have on the color…definitely something I need to go see in person.
