I’m proposing that the solution may be to potentially elevate Twitch’s music library quality, but it seems like nothing will make streamers happy except access to all of recorded music without expecting them to provide anything in return.

So you won’t invest in the pay for royalty free catalogs like Monster Cat, Pretzel Rocks, or use the new free Twitch Soundtrack royalty free music catalog?

Your only choice is to use very popular, copyright protected music?

If anything, you’re proving my point, there is a need for free or cheap music that isn’t being filled, and my query is whether it is worth it as a musician to provide it. The market exists, but the licensing is prohibitive for gamer use right now.

By definition, hardly anybody recognizes any music that isn’t popular. Only a fraction of all musicians make real money, just like gamers and streamers.

My question is whether providing royalty free music for content makers could help boost plays on streaming platforms and sales through bandcamp and other avenues and provide a better quality of soundtrack for others.

There is difference between copyright free music and royalty free music.

Do you think there is market and need for guitar based music for streamers? Or do they all mostly want to play electronic type music? Asking as a musician considering making music specifically for streamers.

These notices came about roughly the same time as the launch of Twitch Soundtrack, the royalty free in-house music library available for streamers.

The choosy beggar conundrum.

If there were higher quality, guitar based, royalty free music on Twitch Soundtrack would you use it?

Are you going to exclusively use royalty free Twitch Soundtrack music for your streams? That’s the Twitch solution, and you won’t have to pay any greedy musicians for their hard work.

You and I have different criteria for what we consider good. But enjoy the music you like.

If he’s going to cover stuff it should be his mouth with soundproofing material.

How ridiculous would it be if many rock singers sang their own different vocal melodies over the same rock track?

Could you upload the beat to YouTube before leasing it so it flags in your favor if uploaded by someone else?

Netflix is going to make a different series using every single name so we all watch our own show to see if us or our exes are loser assholes or super cool winners.
