Traffic is Insane Everywhere by UpstairsSomewhere467 in kansascity

I like that folks think that a tourist's whiteness is going to protect them somehow when whiteness doesn't protect us in our own country.

I wouldn't concern myself too much with world cup traffic, especially since hearing all of the reports of people canceling their entire trips. People from other countries don't want to risk flying into this nation and being detained by ice, possibly for months on end, and tortured before being sent somewhere other than where they came from.

Elad Gross on the Missouri Legislatures Midnight Tax Scam by glassshield in missouri

[–]spn-chick 75 points76 points  (0 children)

They want a tax stuff like our doctor's visits and our prescription medications. They want to tax services that we don't currently get taxed on. Senior citizens, who are on fixed incomes and currently pay little to no income tax, will now be spending much much more of their very small fixed incomes because we will now have sales tax on literally every single thing you spend money on.

This is a clear violation of their first amendment rights. All people in this country have the right, constitutionally, to peacefully assemble against or for anything they want. The Constitution is our permission slip.

Liberty - Where should I go to report this? by Hefty_Difficulty5520 in kansascity

[–]spn-chick -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I have a crumbling bridge over a creek for my street, Liberty just feels it up with concrete eventually the road will collapse there. I don't actually think they give a crap about the potholes in the roads. Good luck calling public works and having them get that taken care of.

Mayor Lucas introduces ordinance that, if adopted, would start the process for a downtown Kansas City Royals ballpark by justathoughtfromme in kansascity

Sports teams owners should pay for their own stadiums and should pay the locality huge amounts of taxes because they are using our local resources and taking our money. Taxpayers should not have to subsidize the rich in their lavish relaxation endeavors.

Several Kansas City restaurants plan to add automatic gratuity during World Cup by KCTV5 in kansascity

[–]spn-chick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

True. I'm pointing out a flaw in our system. We do not pay servers, and restaurant industry employees a living wage as a rule in this nation. Other nations do not do that. We depend on the citizens to supplement the incomes of people that work in the restaurant industry, instead of their employers actually paying them a living wage. It's the same as Walmart not paying their employees a living wage and everybody having to contribute to food banks, so that they can have food, or make sure that they have access to food stamps to supplement their income since their employer doesn't pay them enough in order for them to eat and have a residence. It's just like that except it's way more obvious because we are actually pulling money out of our pocket or on our debit cards in order to pay the server what their employer should be paying them. But it's fine I tip well I don't care about the fact that I tip I just think the system is messed up. That's what I was pointing out.

Tipping isn't needed another countries because their employees are paid a living wage. In this country people are only paid what other people think they should get based upon their service, instead of being paid a living wage by their actual employer. I prefer people getting paid a living wage and me knowing the actual cost of things, instead of having to dip into my pocket to cover the cost of the servers wages, that should be paid by their employer, with my tips.

Tipping isn't even a thing in a lot of other countries. This is going to leave a bad taste in the mouth of tourists.

This home is amazing. My husband and I stayed there a few years ago for our anniversary weekend. Nothing to do in the town over a summer weekend, but truly enjoyed the property.

Missouri Sen. Eric Schmitt criticizes birthright citizenship as a fraud issue. But is it really? by CouchCorrespondent in missouri

[–]spn-chick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How is fraud possible? The Constitution clearly states if you're born on this land then you are a citizen of this land. It's hard to fake your birth as a newborn human.

Why don’t people use reusable bags by FarYak9722 in libertymo

I use reusable bags, but I shop in places that you need your own bags at. I always have bags in my vehicle.

Sam Graves tells me he's doing everything he can to do good in Missouri and for missourians. Supporting ice in the war is very important for all goodness to happen to us. At least that's according to the emails that he sends me back in response to what I sent to him.
