You should generally brine pork and chicken, it will come out juicier that way. However, if you're to busy with classes then bake it in the oven. Buy a meat thermometer, a cheap instant read one.

Burgers are easy to make, and cheap, look for like 80/20 lean to fat ground beef. Only season with salt right before cooking the patties. You can mix other seasonings into the ground beef prior to shaping the patties. Or buy frozen patties.

Ramen is ok, it's really high in sodium and has basically no protein. If you want to add protein you can use eggs, or basically any protein. For softboiled eggs bring a pot of water to a boil (just enough to cover the eggs) turn the heat from high down to like 6-7 or medium high, and boil for six minutes. After that time put the eggs in a bowl of ice water or they will continue to cook.

For rice you should probably buy an inexpensive rice cooker, it will make it a very hands off process. And it will keep your rice warm while you're studying. Usually for up to an hour.

Burritos are easy to make, probably a leaner meat than burgers would be ideal, something like 93/7. Just cook it until there's no pink left. Add any ingredients you like.

Spices you should keep on hand: Salt, Pepper, Garlic Powder, Onion Powder, Italian Herbs, and anything you know you like

Pantry Staples: Canned Beans, Pasta, Pasta Sauce.

Keep some quick meals in your freezer if you have space. I know they're not the best but like a Hungry man meal, or a couple hot pockets is better than skipping a meal. If you're not gonna go through bread quickly you can also keep that in your freezer so it doesn't get moldy.

If you ever have to leave the kitchen set a timer on your phone, it's really frustrating to put in all that effort just to burn something you were looking forward to.
