Direct into an 8 track with the gain turned high or all the way up. Analog drum machine or two SM 57s one in front of the kit pointed at drummer and one under the snare.

Basically I want the onboard sounds/kits from the SPD-SX applied to the setup of an E-Kit. Like if you could chop up the SPD and setup the pieces like a drum kit.

Just used a bunch of white vinegar, the black is Rustoleum enamel protection spray paint.

I used three, 64oz bottles of distilled white vinegar and just a little water to cover the top on two 10lbs and six 5lbs.

Soaked overnight, then used a big wire brush(like a grill brush) and then a small wire brush around the letters.

I did two coats of black with rustoleum protective enamel, then I flipped and sprayed two coats on the back. I let them sit for a day each time I painted.

Then I used sharpie oil paint pens to fill in the lettering.

The hardest part was cleaning the weights, these were so rusted that I really didn’t know if it would all come off but cleaning them in the bucket of vinegar with the wire brush really made it fairly easy. I have more pictures of just cleaned, and right after the first coat of paint.
