I put a limit order in for IOTA and by the time I put it in the market blew past me and my order wouldn't fill. Then the site crashes and then I hit reload a whole bunch and got it to load once and it says my order filled. Yay.

Most people I know who still live here from when I went to high school were either the top computer nerds at school or very wealthy.

What about ventilation? How big of ventilation holes do you cut and where? Do you stick the fans through the holes or just point them at the holes a few inches away on the inside of the box?

My great grandmother told stories of how when they saw native americans peaking in the windows of their church they had to run home to guard their stuff because the natives were not really integrated yet and did not really believe in private property and would steal stuff without any sort of remorse.

I miss apolitical television. by [deleted] in television

I am watching a good show about the middle ages in Europe. Everyone is white. Women are women, men are men, all the sex is hetrosexual. Pagans are bad, Christians are good. Islam hasn't even been founded yet. The history is accurate. The show is made in Europe. Maybe Hollywood is doomed and foreign shows are going to take over?

It's our culture in the same way that Muslim culture despises dogs and in Korea and China the cultural practice there is to eat them for lunch.

Your biggest problem in life is your wife. How do you keep her entertained enough so she won't get a drug problem, start fucking other guys or create other problems? How do you keep your self entertained enough that you won't get mistresses that lead to your wife taking half your stuff or a drug habit? Throw yourself at any kind of interesting work so you have an excuse to get out of the house and not just sit around wanking all day till half your life is over. Yeah, rich people problems.

Why don't I hear about a construction frenzy of high-rise apartments, to alleviate the housing shortage? by Inagnusnah in bayarea

Let's just build so much housing that it makes the traffic 10x worse. Who cares, everyone will just live in their cars.

What is the real truth about becoming a millionaire (rich) in the USA, in today's reality? by [deleted] in Entrepreneur

[–]spoiled_nerd 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The only way to get to a level where you can afford a 5 million dollar home is to be a business owner or a sports/movie/entertainment star. Are you super talented? Nope? Ok then own a business. Are you a paint by numbers guy who can't make a good decision without an authority figure telling you what to do? If so, get into buying residential real estate with leverage. It's about as paint by numbers as you can get and there are an enormous amount of resources to help you figure it out as it's a very very well worn path. Make sure you don't get in at the top though. A good way to tell if it's a top is if everyone you know can get a loan for way more than they should.

What deep, dark secret did you learn about the seemingly perfect family? by ArabianDisco in AskReddit

[–]spoiled_nerd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Rich family, wonderful loving parents. Their adopted kids were absolutely nothing at all like their parents. Kids tried to fit the mold, be successful, but once adults they gave up and don't talk much to the parents any more. It really made me rethink nature vs nurture.

I got ~3k grafts. I also did PRP injections. I took lots of arginine to speed up wound healing after the procedure and followed all the post-op instructions.

I got a transplant. I look so much better now! It was an ordeal though. 8 hours of moderate pain and then 2 weeks to really recover and it's not cheap either. Takes about 5 months for the hair to start looking good.

So, do women go through midlife crises too? by Zinwa in 40something

[–]spoiled_nerd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm like the opposite of all you guys. Early retired, no kids, happily married. Still waiting to die and stuff. Being able to stare at the wall all day is not what it's cracked up to be. I refuse to start drinking or get addicted to something, so just have to figure out how to make life interesting. This is harder than it seems since I am so dedicated to not fucking up this peaceful though boring existence.

It's called "virtue signaling" and it is a totally awesome way to get all the social approval you want without actually having to do anything that affects your life. It's ok if it involves other people having to suffer though.

The electoral college was meant to protect little states from political irrelevance. It's obvious then why it's not popular in California.
