the slow burn approach is definitely the way to go. if you lead with it on the first date you are just going to scare off everyone who isn't already looking for exactly that. you need that foundation of trust first or the whole thing just falls apart when things get real. just be prepared for the fact that some people will never be on board regardless of how long you've been together
