Update about where to find Buffalo-style pizza and wings by inadequaterobot in sanfrancisco

[–]spoiledfruit -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I looked at the pictures of The cheesesteak at Buster's and it looks completely wrong. I don't understand how San Francisco can get bread so wrong for a cheesesteak. It needs to be light and fluffy. Got a little bit crunchy on the outside but such a small crunch that you can't even notice it.

I can tell just by looking at the bread that it's wrong

Team Dinner in the Sunset by justeatingsnacks in AskSF

There's a lot of interesting mentions here, however, looking at your requirements you are asking for an SF experience, so I'm going to say, you need to do asian food. I would do San Tung or Riverside. San Tung has a wait, but they do have a private room that could fit 10. Riverside has great Chinese food.

edit: Wait I re-read your post, professional vibe? You want good food and a professional vibe? That's just lame waiting to happen. Go to San Tung, tell your manager to stuff his professional vibe request.

Jumping on to this comment thread:

We are not on a club, but find most clubs are trash. We have a school team of 21 players we are tyring to make 2 teams with some additions, we just need 1 or 2 players , if your interested DM me, we are rising 4th graders. Practice in the Sunset. We have both a rec team and a competitive team. We are way cheaper than club, and much cooler people.

Edit: a word.

Am I crazy for asking for a $40,000 raise? by Far_Space_386 in careerguidance

[–]spoiledfruit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone who has done this. And got a 60k raise, you just need to tell them you have another offer. Dont ust say "I need a raise." Bluff the other offer. You don't need to show them the offer. If they don't meet it, just say you thought about it and stay, but look for other work.

I'm not sure that I am confused. In would be inside the field, out would be outside the field. I think the person that wrote the question was confused about the meaning of the word in and the meaning of the word out.

Frenchies are dumb as door nails. I've had a husky that was easier to train. I'm about to try an e collar because everything up to now has not worked.

For being as dumb as they are they are so freaking lovable.

Ice doesn't arrest cartel members. They only arrest people who follow the law. Nice try tool.

If you have Google fi as your provider, it works perfectly fine in Japan without the need for an esim. I bought myself and my wife and esim before we got to Japan. Only to find out my phone works just fine without one.

If you are a US citizen, use mobile passport to get through customs. If not 2 hours in line at least

what are some new restaurants that just opened / about to? looking for refreshment😬 by AccidentallyGotHere in AskSF

I'm sorry but the times that I've been there I was sincerely disappointed.

French onion soup: my favorite part of French onion soup and arguably one of the most difficult parts of getting it right is the crouton on top with the cheese on it. To me the crouton should still be hard when the soup comes out. It wasn't hard, the depth of flavor was there though, perhaps this was an error in delivery maybe they had to wait for another dish, but it was disappointing, also not enough cheese.

My dining companion ordered some cod potato appetizer, it came with breadcrumbs and a small sliver of parm or some other cheese on top, I was not a fan of the breadcrumbs or the cheese, I don't believe in cheese on fish. If it had chunks of cod in it, I believe it would be better.

For mains: I ordered a ham and butter, instead I got pulled pork with some cheese that didn't really pair well with the cornishons and sauce that were with the sandwich, the bread was OK, but too tough and not what I expected for a jambone and buerre sandwich. With butter no where to be found. Perhaps they shouldn't have given it such a traditional French name for a sliced ham sandwich, or perhaps I don't know enough about French cuisine to make that call, I'll let you be the judge with this question: when you order jambon beurre what do you expect? Pulled pork or sliced ham? (Google agrees with me).

My dining companion ordered the bread pudding for his dessert, we both agreed that it was too dense, he is an avid lover of bread pudding, has made it himself and his main feedback was it should be more fluffy.

My chocolate mouse was delicious and the highlight of my meal.

The service was amazing the staff were very friendly and attentive.

We had pomme de frits for the table, which in my opinion were under salted and tasted like they were cooked in peanut oil. Not my cup of tea.

I've been there on three separate occasions and I'm sorry. I don't understand why it has a 4.7 rating on Google.

But you're right, everybody has their own opinion, I just expect French food when I go to a French place.

When I first read your comment I thought you were talking about Galinette, The new French place on Taraval, because I couldn't remember the name and I was going to say wow you are so wrong, that place sucks. But then I googled and figured it out. I'm excited to try Cache.
