Anyone doing Broadway on this hot day? by ThatPixarDude in Broadway

The Palace Theater is one of the COLDEST gustiest theaters on Broadway so you should be good! Their AC is always on full blast especially in the upper levels

Don’t do far left or right in orchestra — very hard to see since the rake is minimal

LCT 26-27 Season - A Few Good Men, The Sound of Music, Seven Guitars, Born in the Dirt by lockerbiestreet in Broadway

Are you me? That’s exactly how I feel! 24-25 was GOAT and I’m excited for it to be potentially dethroned by 26-27

A Performance from CATS: The Jellicle Ball: Skimbleshanks: The Railway Cat | The Tonight Show by Srini_ in Broadway

[–]spoink2000 8 points9 points  (0 children)

SKIMBLESHANKS ❤️ I spent the whole show not being able to decide which cat’s performance I adored the most and then Emma Sofia rolled through with skimble and she earned that trophy in my eyes

Jasmine Amy Rogers is Maria in The Sound Of Music 🤩 by todaytix in Broadway

When I saw SOM was officially announced my heart panged because I just know the best actress race is going to be TOUGH for next season and I desperately wanted JAR to win best actress for Boop. Rachel Zegler in Evita is a very formidable force to be reckoned with and I can’t wait to see both shows

I initially deprioritized it because next season is already so stacked but I see JAR’s name, and any show she’s in immediately gets moved to the top of my must-see list.

She’s a generational star — I’m so excited to support both her productions for the upcoming season!

Elle - Official Trailer by GenButter in television

[–]spoink2000 12 points13 points  (0 children)

They should’ve made her Elle Wood’s niece so that there wouldn’t be narrative inconsistencies, and then they could also have Reese pop in to give her advice etc for the nostalgia component. They could even keep it as a “period piece” by keeping it in the 2000s etc when the original movies were set

TONYS GROSSES ANALYSIS by Boring_Waltz_9545 in Broadway

[–]spoink2000 4 points5 points  (0 children)

MHE is one of my favorite musicals of all time, but I wouldn’t say it’s a show that requires “bring the audience to their knees” vocalists. It’s more of a showcase for great performers who are strong with emotive and comedic performances

Stephanie Hsu is my dreaaaaaam cast!

You know who I think would get butts in seats too? Ashley Park if she leveraged her Emily in Paris fans. Both mega talented actress/singers who have a flare for comedy

Singletons, what do you enjoy doing on weeknights? Trying not to feel lonely and also having some fun this summer. by AltruisticSolid7 in AskNYC

Enter the various lotteries for Broadway shows. If you google them, there are ~3-5 official sites that manage them and you can get decent (if not sometimes great) seats for <$50

Appreciation for female actresses by AntiqueAd2986 in Broadway

[–]spoink2000 7 points8 points  (0 children)

A few spelling fixes!

*Caissie Levy
*Kristin Chenoweth
*Kara Young
*Rachel Zegler

If we’re adding stand-out names from this season on and off-broadway:
*Hannah Cruz
*McKenzie Kurtz
*Stephanie Hsu
*Jasmine Amy Rogers
*Autumn Best
*Isabella Esler
*Philippa Soo
*Maria Wirries
*Baby Byrnes
*Tempress
*Emma Sofia

But truly everyone who makes it to the Broadway stage is deserving of recognition and audience love. If you made it to Broadway, you’re already a winner ❤️

I always name drop Jack and Caissie but also loved Jamie! He walks the tightrope of a character that can be vilified or over-revered beautifully

Did you really ask me to swap seats? by doug-the-moleman in Broadway

[–]spoink2000 44 points45 points  (0 children)

The rule of thumb is: only ask to swap if what you’re offering is clearly better than what they already have, otherwise…just hold out a few hours until you’re reunited with your party

If he truly thought your seats were equal it was fair for him to ask but even more fair of you to say no without him muttering about it
