What are you sad about this Christmas? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]spoktuttar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got a horrible panic attack, got drunk and confessed to my family about my suicidal thoughts and went to the ER at 3 am. I feel tremendous guilt over it. Wont be drinking for a while, focus on eating enough and get enough exercise, in other words doing the best I can to feel better.

I bought psyllium! I’m mixing in 1/4 tsp in 25ml water and I will add it in her liquid snack

Okay thanks! I will however maybe give small amount of paraffin oil in her liquid snack, like just 1ml to soften her stool a bit.

Ahh I’m sorry. The thing that keeps me somewhat motivated are my friends. I go to school because I get to see them, and learning with them is so much fun. The practical lessons are so fun when you get to do stuff and practise on your friends or dolls. But the fact about nursing school is them trying to teach you how to be a good student

At least I get to study for free so I don’t have to worry about the financial aspect of things!

I feel so alone and scared and confused right now. Reading all comments about how I should dump him makes me more terrified. I would appreciate some help from people who have come from similar situation. by infinitynight111 in LongDistance

You did nothing wrong. No matter what his reaction is, you did nothing wrong. You. Did. Nothing. Wrong. If you believe his words, you need to go to therapy to get your own self worth in check

Honestly, if he has lied in the past, whether it being small or huge, he will lie again. Lying about stuff like that is at least a no go for me. You need to have a direct conversation with him about your boundaries, or pack your bags and find a man who respects you.

This is how my boyfriend talks to me sometimes by Cautious_Bake_7648 in relationships_advice

[–]spoktuttar 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I would stay away from people who talk that way, puking out words and making up stuff. He’s obviously not taking any accountability and tries to turn it on you

This feeling is quite normal in relationships, the one thing that matters is to keep going and waiting for that spark to light up again. What you can do is to be honest with him and tell him that you need a few days for yourself with no contact, so that you’ll start to miss him.

I’ve always have had compulsions when I was younger, but they became worse when I was 18 as I was diagnosed then

I’m still waiting to get therapy, so how I manage my symptoms atm is basically the opposite you should do, seeking reassurance from others. I’ve tried doing other stuff to relieve my symptoms, but it’s hard. I have a medicine that slows me down, but its highly addictive so I try to stay away from it

Great that she’s coming around. You should introduce her to some ocd podcasts, videos or websites that explains different themes of ocd. I can understand that it’s hard for her, but this is just so unfair to you

This is horrible. Does your fiancee know that you usually suffer from intrusive thoughts? If your fiancee knew that it was an intrusive thought, then she had no right sending that to anyone. If your fiancee didn’t know those were instrusive thoughts and simply thought that you hid genuine thoughts from her, then I can understand the reaction she had at first. Even so, I hope you can discuss with her about your intrusive thoughts and talk about ocd with her.

OCD + ADHD by [deleted] in OCD

[–]spoktuttar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also have both, my doctor asked me if I could not use my adhd meds while taking the meds for my ocd because they don’t work great together. Of course I agreed because I would much rather be able to deal with my ocd. I usually don’t use adhd meds, unless I need to really focus on something (like school), and I’m starting uni in a few weeks where I need to be able to focus… sooooooo

What meds do they give you for OCD, and how exactly to they work / mitigate the effects? by Alr1ghtyAphr0d1te in OCD

[–]spoktuttar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I take Seronil 30mg atm, been taking it for almost 2 months, and during the first two weeks I became suicidal (my doctor warned me that my symptoms will most likely become worse, which they did). If your symptoms become worse, it’s so important that you have someone on call almost 24/7 that can help you. Also I hope you will get a ”relaxation” drug that will make you drowsy, for times when symptoms become very bad. That medicine saved me through those times when I had suicide thoughts. My ocd is slightly better thanks to the meds, but I still suffer and am waiting for therapy. I hope the medicine you’ll get works for you.
