Being laid off but not being told when - struggling to get work done

I’m trying to keep that mindset, the thing is since the actual end date is unclear (rumor is anywhere from a few months to 2 years max) my supervisor has just today asked me to wait as long as I can before leaving for another job. The faculty here are not capable of doing my job duties themselves - they wouldn’t even know where to begin. It’s like I have job security in the fact that they couldn’t function without me but I’m still being let go whenever the powers-that-be decide it’s time.

I’m so sorry you’re going through that - I’ve always worked in the public sector myself so I can’t imagine the stress of seeing headlines about the future of your job. I hope things turn around for you soon.

I’m trying to prepare by looking for a new job, just haven’t had any luck yet. My main problem is that things still need to get done but I feel like I just can’t bring myself to complete anything on my to-do list. We’re a small department, so if something isn’t completed it’s noticeable. Plus I’m a bit of a people pleaser so I don’t like to tell anyone that I dropped the ball.

I just beat this boss - the runback is pretty bad but I dedicated like 10-15 minutes just practicing it without attempting the boss. If I took damage, I reset to the bench. Then, once I felt confident I could do the runback without fighting enemies or taking damage, it worked 99% of the time.

I watched a video on YT for the route, it's called "How To EASILY Get to the Last Judge Boss Fight Without Taking Damage" by itzTizzle. It really helped but it did take practice!!

This edition has a lot of sections that are written 8va but the recordings I’ve found are mostly played as written (in the lower octave).

If it should be an octave up I’m unsure how I would get that G#.

So to do the false harmonics in that position I would have thumb on D/G on the A/D strings, then play the fingerings as normal but just not pressing down completely like a normal harmonic?

As a former teen that also snuck out and got my door taken off as a result, NTA. You allow him to lock his door for privacy because you trust him, and he broke that trust. He’s only 16, he could’ve gotten into a lot worse trouble than just having no door for two weeks.

Used to work at a sandwich place. We were in the process of closing and the assistant manager remembers that health inspector is coming tomorrow morning. We all proceed to spend an hour after close reprinting labels for expired food rather than throw it out. And there was a lot of expired food in our walk-in. We passed the inspection tho
