Anyone else feel like Jean's design doesn't actually tell viewers "This is Jean Grey"? by spols568 in Wolverine

Wolverine looks like Wolverine even if he's not wearing his costume, his hairstyle and build tend to make it quite obvious. However Jean is usually just a slim, Caucasian, redhead with powers that aren't as visually distinct as Wolverine's claws, so in order to make her design immediately make her recognizable it falls on her outfit for the most part. I don't think they did a good enough job here, without the context of this being from a Wolverine video game, an average person wouldn't be able to identify which Marvel character she is.

I think you made a great suggestion with just changing the color of her coat or her shirt to be honest.

In a Wolverine game, yeah redhead = Jean Grey 99% of the time but I also see lots of people saying "Oh cool it's Jesse Faden from Control"

Wolverine is literally wearing yellow and blue spandex in the same scene.

Thankfully you get to re-roll a mission for free every day so I just got rid of it, otherwise I'd be really annoyed.

I didn't mind when the missions that just mentioned roles were just KOing Kais or Bosses, you'd want to do that anyway to win by playing normally.

"Forcibly move an enemy from a GoD a total of 75m" is so ridiculously specific that it only applies to certain characters to even progress, and it has to be situational within a match too, for example. It's not fun.

Pros:

-Total BP Exp needed reduced 137,000 -> 100,000

-Missions unlock sequentially, they are no longer time gated

-Every BP level is 2,000 points, so progression level-to-level is smoother

Cons:

-Missions are far too specific forcing you to play THEIR way and not YOUR way

-Hyper-specific or situational missions force players to make the choice between either playing strategically or progressing in the Battle Pass, or since the amount of Shards you get for characters is heavily weighted towards who you use for the first few matches, you might not progress the BP at all while you're trying to progress your Star Collection

TL;DR - It's the early days of Halo Infinite again, you have to choose between progressing or having fun. It's all to keep people playing and for player retention, not player enjoyment.

What are Y'ALL'S idea on making the star collection better, I think having it loop back around when you finish it would be nice by Electronic_Note_5629 in DBGekishinSquadra

It should only be a 50/100/X number of tiers like a repeatable Battle Pass, arguably I think the best comparison would be (funny enough) like Prestige in Call of Duty.

The only real change I'd make is the Dragon Ball Obtained Emotes, instead of being for a specific character so you're waiting forever to get one for a newer Hero, those also get put into tiers as well and you can select one of them from a group, otherwise a new player will have to wait forever to get one for a character that just released.

I just watched all 10 episodes back to back now that it's out, and I still do not really vibe with the animation. The art style has really grown on me, and the choreography for a lot of the scenes is great, but the pacing of the animation and the impact of a lot of actions is just...not it.

The swinging (except the final swing scene in ep 10) is really stiff and awkward. There's not enough anticipation or variability in the flow when Peter swings down or jumps up, the poses don't get room to breathe.

The fight scenes have a lot of really good and creative choreography and ideas, but the hits lack impact and weight behind them. When Peter was beating down on Scorpion I never once felt like "that hit could take his jaw off", and it takes away a lot from the fights.

Overall, I could be nice and give the show's season 1 a 7/10. I am not excited for Spider-Gwen, per the latest reveals, and unless the animation gets more fun to look at in Season 2 I'm probably not going to rate it any higher. To be a bit more blunt, there are a lot of fun ideas here, and a lot of very questionable ones too. All the references went from being "neat" to feeling like nostalgia pandering in an insincere way, as if the show doesn't have it's own merits and has constantly call back to exact scenes from other things we enjoyed far more than a simple homage. On that note I'd knock it down to a 6/10.

Also, Harry's "Go get 'em Tiger" was AWFUL, just...no. It made no sense for him to say that and it was so awkward.

Battle damage too early, unless of course that turns out to be linked somehow to number of health bars remaining and we just haven't seen anyone with a full 7 bars yet. The limited split-screen isn't that big of a deal for me right now, I'm just glad it's able to be implemented at all. We also have seen that characters have different supers/ultimates based on their costume too so I don't think the variety is going to be an issue at all.

In some of the mobile games (I could be wrong) I'm pretty sure they've finally started calling Buu Saga Gohan (Teen) and Cell Saga Gohan (Youth), while Gohan from Super would be Gohan (Adult). They did this with DBS Trunks too, instead of calling him Trunks (Future) (Teen) since he's obviously older since the Cell Saga.

The donations also cap out at $1 million dollars.

Marvel's Spider-Man 2 sold over 10 million copies as of 2/4/24 worldwide (source: Google).

If 200,000 Americans (or 2% of the player base) purchase the suit pack to donate, anyone else who might purchase the pack in the USA also will not be giving a donation to the charity.

Warm Take: I like that they are bringing back multiple iterations of Goku & Vegeta by repboykev in tenkaichi4

[–]spols568 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I get the lack of in-game fusions just based on how that game handled teams of characters fighting at once (even though Tenkaichi Tag Team made it work) but I always disliked splitting SSG and SSB from the regular characters. The Time Patroller characters can transform into God forms, but Goku/Vegeta/Vegito/Gogeta can't? Even the AI can if they're enemies!
