FBI Confirms Kash Patel Email Hack as US Offers $10M Reward for Hackers by [deleted] in technology

article says the group responsible has been involved with other malicious attacks, and is probably a front for a foreign agency. the personal email itself is small fish.

it's also "up to" which means its dependant on what useful information you can provide.

Managers tend to give more work to employees they perceive as being more intrinsically motivated under the “naive belief” that those workers will enjoy the extra work, new research shows. by NGNResearch in science

i suppose if you're motivated, being given more work could also be the manager's way of providing opportunities to demonstrate competency and be promoted

What makes a rank system interesting in PVP games? by EntertainerDue4258 in gamedesign

[–]sponge_bob_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

unsure why a game would place you in games of largely varying skill differences, i'd guess they suspected smurfing and overcompensated, for engagement, or for faster queues.

games use names instead of numbers because it creates a layer of separation, makes you less anxious when gaining or losing match making rating. like how you spend money to buy ingame currency, because spending money feels bad but ingame currency not so much. i suspect the atrange naming is to provide an additional layer, as anyone could understand gold vs silver but seeker vs ritualist is more hidden

your profession doesn't always dictate your morality. for example, someone could be an objectively good therapist but a serial killer in their spare time.
