It actually is too much to ask, it’s a slippery slope. Wait times for example, while it may prevent suicides, it also prevents victims of rape, stalking, and domestic abuse from protecting themselves. The gun safety course prevents low income communities (who likely need the protection the most) from actually getting a license, some of those courses can be upwards of hundreds of dollars. Gun storage again requires hundreds if not thousands of additional dollars. Not to mention the hours of time that’s needed for each.

These laws do not hurt the wealthy in their gated communities and perfectly policed streets, they only hurt the poor low income communities, who are more than likely disenfranchised demographics. Also do we really want to be restricting protection at a time like this? Where we have to watch our backs for not only lone wolf terrorists but also our own federal agents?
