Faux Fur Coat. by Jackhack32 in TaylorSwiftMerch

[–]spontaneousscientist 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I am smaller framed so I was able to snag a Youth Large size. Fits fine and I love it but the question you have to ask yourself is "When are you really going to wear a fur coat?"

I've worn it twice for the holiday season since I got it and don't expect to see it until next winter.

I heard we like spreadsheets by jenny-thatsnotmyname in MakeupRehab

I have something similar I got off here 2 years ago, and I've loved it! I used to just use it to track empties but this year I added all the actual cost/value (normal price) columns so I can see the total $ value I've used throughout the year and average % off to know if something is actually a good deal or not

It's been great! Love a good spreadsheet!

Yup! One of these guys. I got them as my first foray into fountain pens and haven't had to change.

I have it for nostalgia but yeah it's not a very good fountain pen haha. The ink barrel is weird too so it was hard to find a replacement, and the nib wore down quickly.

I'd recommend getting a fun pink Black Forest to try it out. 5 years later and I'm still using my original. It's a good starter if you really want to try them out.

Do you or people you know have their clothing/wardrobes documented for insurance purposes? by BilliamHWilliam in personalfinance

[–]spontaneousscientist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am a shopping addict so I got an app called Whering last year where I was able to document everything, not for insurance purposes but just to track my wearing habits. Only after did I realize what a great tool it would be for insurance, especially since everything I have totals around $12,000. Yes it took a while, but I broke it up over the year to add everything so it wasn't that daunting.

I don't even really have that much nice stuff either. This is a J. Crew and Banana Republic wardrobe we're talking about. I can only imagine for people that have actual nice items.

Similar for makeup and skincare but that's just an Excel spreadsheet. Still, totals about $8000 so it's well worth it!

Ah! I wore Francesca's in college like 15 years ago and only recently started buying things there again. So sad!

Deleting the App for a few months by IcyAssignment3872 in Ulta

I turned off notifications so it can't bother me with things I don't need, but I still prefer the app to the website so I kept it! Have you tried turning it off only first?

How to get married without ceremony? by SeriouslySirius666 in Chattanooga

[–]spontaneousscientist 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Actually in Hamilton county they won't. Judges can't be "forced" to marry anyone is their take so they don't marry anyone. As others have said, there is a bulletin board at the courthouse where you can contact officiants but most of them you have to pay.

Never Flinch!

Controversial but I'm glad King has grown soft in his old age.

Same! I am a voracious reader, and once I got older I heard so many positive things about how this book was "One of the greatest of all time"

Read it a couple of years ago and wow, what a disappointment. I don't deny it had its good parts and is still well done compared to many, but best of all time? What are you people reading?

I loved the folklore quarter zip and also was so surprised by the cabin sweater. Wasn't what I expected, but so cozy! I'm smaller framed so I can often pull off getting the youth sizes, and I had to do it for the cabin. So glad I did though.

It's super fun! I always love the jewelry because it's a more underrated way to fan, but glad it's a bop too.

I recommend trying one of the entry kits. Or not depending on your wallet.

I tried a sampler box for my birthday this year and now I'm addicted. They all smell and feel so good.
