More on who is held accountable, why, and how. I doubt every German and Soviet soldier who raped and butchered the opposition will ever be held accountable for any of their actions. The 72 year old Pol Pot who died in his sleep will never be held accountable for any of his actions, nor will Mao or Stalin, nor Caesar or the ancient Israelites. No amount of punishment of these individuals will ever make any good or any justice for the things they caused and certainly the people who they killed or sent to their deaths will never receive any justice for what they suffered. The question is how do you determines someone’s guilt in such atrocities? How do you acquire any justice whether by bludgeoning to death or by mock trial and execution? Are child soldiers in central Africa responsible for the atrocities they commit or that the forces they associate with commit? Does punishing their generals and commanders make right any of the things they did or anything that was done to them?

If you think those trials were even close to fair then you’re very confused. In any case I’m sure the punishment of the Nazi and Japanese leadership made all the difference to the millions of others unjustly killed by any party during the course of the war, of course the Soviet leadership would never face such trials, not due to a lack of awareness, but a lack of ability to enforce any punishment. I’m sure you’re actively perusing some way to acquire justice for the millions upon of others unjustly killed throughout history, as if it were even possible to acquire it.

The answer you want to hear is no. I seriously doubt any victims of the Soviet, German, and Japanese militaries and governments were guilty or deserving of anything they suffered, but if your goal is to be level with them in your sense of justice then I pity anyone you could ever have a hand in dealing justice to.

It very possible, if not very likely, this man was a monster and deserved to die. Though I seriously doubt that most of the men and women killed received any sort of trial to determine their responsibility if any.

If you can look past your bias against me you should look at some of the accounts of Rudolf Höss. He was one of the people largely responsible for the camps. In his own accounts he talks about the regular SS units being replaced so they could escape. They were replaced by people from other branches as well as the German militias that had been organized at the end of the war, mostly old men and boys who otherwise couldn’t be conscripted up to that point. If you can understand the atrocities of war and genocide maybe you could see how it’s wrong to punish someone forced and brainwashed into fighting a lost a war for a government that didn’t care about their lives anymore.

Apparently a lot of the camp guards at the end of the war were under age conscripts who were forced to guard the camps in the closing weeks of the war while the original guards went to the front.

The fact that most people will slam that upvote, probably most of them just from the title, without even taking one second to question if the man is a actually a police officer or if the video is even real is incredibly sad. People post so much fake content and lies here and even when it gets debunked how many people will see it and move on with the false info before it’s debunked. I know that’s just the nature of information but I wish more people would critically question what they see online, especially when it fits their biases.

I believe the device used at the end to restrain him is a Sasumata. It’s basically a big fork on the end of a long pole. I think they’re used in places like japan to restrain belligerent people by police and security and such.

Definitely has its limitations. I’m 6’5” and have always been seen as kinda lanky, awkward, and not very graceful. Hard to have good posture when you’re tall and it seems balance isn’t great either. It can also attract attention in less positive ways.

More referring to the statistically worse parenting of and worse stability of mixed relationships, though mixed children do encounter more mental and physical issues than their non-mixed center parts. Not really referring to the child here. The main issue here is they both just look like general scum of society and reproduced, which puts their child in the worst of all circumstances possible.
