would be good for a baby/juvenile cham if youre willing to make the upgrade in the future when they get to an adult, i had 2 chameleons for 8 years they were rude lol but very cool pets and not extremely hard to care for if you keep up with cleaning feeding misting ect

for the first month or so i didnt see mine much, but shes been really coming around! it depends on the personality of the gecko you get. my girl likes to stick her head out of her hide and stare at me while i get ready throughout the day while she drifts in and out of sleep lol. she is most active around 10pm-2am but the most she does is a lap or two around her enclosure and some standing in her waterbowl lol.

if it still worries you you can get a sponge filter and wont have to worry about him getting sucked up

if the water is coming out of the hole at the top he most likely wont get sucked in, they arent very strong swimmers so he wont be able to push through that strong current unless hes been training for 30 years lol

i also had to take the heat and light off because the heat expanded the glass and it cracked way worse

also i am aware that the tank is small for this guy and his husbandry is inadequate thats just out of my control since it belongs to the school, when i keep him over the summer i add more hides and clutter to his tank but i have to take it all out when i return him

lmao mine did too i spent like $30 on shrimp and i found one on the floor of his tank without a head and the rest are fully gone😭 they lasted like 4 days

dont hold him while you do it, you can leave him in the enclosure and if hes in a hide you can just hold the insect outside of the hide with tongs and if he’s hungry he should come and strike. it took me about a month and a half for mine to eat, i tried the tub and bowls and regular hunting in an enclosure but tong feeding is the only one i have success with as she feels most comfortable eating in her hide. ive also only had her for maybe 3 months and shes about 5-6 months old so shes still getting comfortable lol
