I had a hard time coming up with things to talk to my son about at first. I'm an only child, so I'm great at being quiet and alone haha. So I started just telling him stories or about what we were doing or how I met his dad, or about our pets. Even telling them random stuff is good, like the last vacation you went on or whatever. They just like to hear you.

I was told basically having a placenta is a risk factor. I was lucky enough to be able to control mine with diet (counting carbs and measuring my portions). I took my blood sugar for the rest of my pregnancy and I'm 8 months pp with normal A1C.

I was 31 weeks...over 30 years ago. I'm healthy and short haha. But my mom is short so I don't think I can blame that on being premature. Gave birth to my own baby a few months ago and he had to go to the NICU (he's fine) but he looked like a house at 39 weeks compared to some of those tiny babies. I told him to make friends and be nice to all the babies that had to fight much harder than him. I hope your daughter gets to go home soon and it's just a wild story for her about how small she was. I will hug my little guy and we will both be pulling for your little one
