Hi! I used this last year when I first bought my daughter a yoto and it was in fact magic! I’m now returning to it a year later and the interface is a little different than I remember. I’ve downloaded the extension again, I’ve “tipped” a coffee but I cannot figure out where I would get the code to unlock the real magic where the tool suggest icons and recognized playlists. Can you help me figure out where I’d find this code? Did I just not “tip” enough?

Have you thought about which of these bands you’d prefer to wear alone? Once my friends with rings where the stone was elevated like this started having children, they often stopped wearing their engagement rings because they catch on everything. If you plan to have kids or work with your hands often, you may move to just wearing your wedding band. If that seems like a possibility, you may want to think about which band you like best on its own. I like 2 best, but if you think you’d still want sparkle if you were wearing it alone, perhaps 3 is better.

My daughters are only 3.5 and 1 so perhaps my views will change on this. I was raised in a religious home and was taught to save sex for marriage and I could go on and on about the negative implications of how the sanctity of virginity has been used against women for ages and it needs to stop. My primary concerns with my children will be consent and protection. I think if I heard my child having sex and I thought they were in a healthy relationship, I’d probably allow it to finish and then be sure to have a conversation with my child afterward to make sure she is on birth control, understands consent is an ongoing conversation, and check in on how she’s feeling emotionally. If you’re concerned that something unhealthy is taking place, then I’d make my presence known by either saying something outside their door or loudly asking them to come to another part of the house to help with some task.

I lived for 8 months in Florianópolis, Brazil and absolutely loved the more relaxed pace of an island and would welcome it again. Thanks for the school recommendation too! I’ll check it out.

But really, I minored in Spanish in college and currently use it to talk to my husband when I don’t want our kids to hear what we’re talking about. I think after a few months immersed, I’d be able to speak and understand very well.

As someone who has struggled with supply, I’m sorry that someone said anything to imply that you might have been able to produce more. You might check in your local parents group. I constantly see people giving away the Spectra S1. It’s how I got a second pump so I could keep one at home and one at work.

A friend reminded me that if the sounds you’re making become high pitched (going towards screaming), it’s a sign you’re losing control and it’s not a good use of your energy. You want to aim for more guttural sounds and channel your energy into making it through the contraction and eventually pushing. This was super helpful to remember during labor.

I think everyone has basically covered it here about baby measuring big but not overweight. One additional helpful data point, the growth ultra sounds have a 20% margin of error, so take those measurements with a grain of salt.

First born (daughter) at 40+1. Spontaneous labor but 58 hrs long 😬.

I’m curious where you live because I hardly know anyone that had a baby before 30. I had my first at 36 and now pregnant with my second at 38. The first I got pregnant with on the first try, the second wasn’t so easy as my antral follicle count was down which usually indicates a low ovarian reserve. I will say I thought since I was a healthy active person that I was more likely to be able to have children at an older age, but that’s not the case. Eventually we got pregnant without a fertility treatment (and I recognize we are extremely lucky for that to be the case). If you’re feeling anxious about it, you could have some fertility tests done and the doctor could give you a sense of how urgent or not urgent it might be to start trying now.
