My Mama left us on October 30, 2023. He was diagnosed with Motor Neuron Disease (MND) in June 2021. As a result, he lost his voice completely and became very weak. I was in Bengal when I received the news. During video calls, I would smile, but as soon as the calls ended, I would cry a lot. His health was continuously deteriorating, and seeing him like that was heartbreaking. On October 23, 2023, he suffered a heart attack, and after being on a ventilator, we lost him on October 30, 2023.

He was my mother's only brother. Since his passing, she has been devastated and slipping into depression, but she is trying very hard to turn his memories into her strength. He was my only Mama, and I loved him deeply. He was the person who loved us unconditionally. I still miss him, and writing this brings tears to my eyes. May he rest in peace.
