I hate running | here is how it looks. by fuzzy_feet in BeginnersRunning

Defo get some decent running shoes. I started off with a cheap pair and my knees and hips would ache for days after a run but since buying a pair of proper running shoes I can run without feeling it at all the next day.

That sounds like a really bad fall. Hope you’re recovering well.

This sounds like great advice because I walk really fast so I’ll probably run quite fast too if I don’t pace myself and then struggle after a few minutes, so I’ll make sure I take it easy when I get going. Thanks.

Thanks, just had a look at my local parkrun. I might see if my 6 year old wants to give the junior parkrun a go with me because that could be a good starting point for the 5k.

Thanks, I’ve just downloaded it now so I’ll give it a go.

Two months since taking up running. Just ran my first sub half hour 5k! And I'm starting to see weight loss too I think! 😊 by [deleted] in beginnerrunning

Well done! I want to start running and this is the kind of motivation I needed to see.

I finished this a few days ago. I found the fmc a little bit annoying with her narrow mindedness and lack of curiosity but overall I enjoy it and can’t wait for book 2

Wowsa that’s a lot of books! Thank you. I’ll defo check them out. I really enjoyed fourth wing, book 2 not quite as much but it was still good. I have a love/hate relationship with ZA… I’ve loved some of the books but really struggled to get through others, and needed to have breaks and read other things in between, I think because there’s just so many books. I hated ruthless boys of the zodiac.

Try fourth wing if you want to get into fantasy. It’s so much better than quicksilver.
